Im coming in late. I believe the ps2 went the way they did for this intro cutscene was to prevent the god awful framerate drop in which every ps2 player knows about. They changed angle and scene a couple moments probably to give it less to load to keep it playing more smoothly. That said admittedly a few parts definitely are more cinematic in general and they probably should have dome those moments for "all" rather than just the ps2 regardless if they did it due to performance issues.

I remember skipping this game and going STRAIGHT to KH 2 since my logic told me to. I assumed KH 2 WAS the direct sequel to the original.

1:40 ok it makes sense since his best friends were Hector and Lyn who we can guess had similar ages and i guess we can also include Rebecca who did work for house Phrerae but was not a knight, but then what about Lowen? I think Marcus says he was just initiating knighthood and was very young at the start of Eliwood's campaing in Fe7

@@jayck7686 Since FE6 was written before FE7, specific characters weren't kept in mind when writing this dialogue. Stuff was fit in after the fact such as the implication that Lugh, Raigh, and Chad were in the orphanage Lucius was in charge of... So Lowen probably wasn't thought of specifically with this dialogue.

I prefer this Durandal appearance and animation to what they went with, especially for Eliwood. It makes a lot more sense to attack with a thrust since that’s how he attacks pre-promotion with his rapier.

I just have an issue about the reinterpretation depending on the region. The Japanese BK is better considering his personality. It feels off to me.

Overall I feel like the EN script's interpretation of the BK is superior for one specific reason: The warp powder malfunction It significantly downplays the events of PoR and Radiant Dawn when it comes to the Black Knight to a cop-out regardless of the fact that I love my seiyuu and play FE in Japanese.

@@shadowofchaos725 I was speaking only of that scene because the Japanese script actually makes more sense than the English one. It feels more human. The warp powder content is obviously nonsense that I'm glad has been removed. But it's sad that we actually lost a lot of content (between the extended script exclusives to the hard mode in japanese, the reinterpretation..) In French, it's also annoying sometimes. I love Zelgius's character and I feel like it could have been much better.

I had a roommate that was playing FE7 or the first time. In random conversation, he told me he felt Nils was an irrelevant character. I then told him Nils is a dragon. Naturally, he assumed I was making crap up. I tend to do that. After the truth was revealed, he started Path of Radiance. He entered a random house, and had a brief encounter with Nasir, before he became plot relevant. I told him that Nasir is a magic dragon that lives by the sea. And also that Ena is a dragon. Again, he thought I was making stuff up. About 10 years pass, and FE Engage comes out. I then told him in FE Engage that Alear is a dragon. As this is common knowledge, he has no reason to doubt me. Unfortunately, I'm at the point where I think he'd just believe anything I tell him about dragons. I've resisted the urge to tell him that Alear is actually the ghost of an extradimensional time traveling zombie dragon.
