Hi Leigh, you need to have some defends. If you are not calling with QQ, what are you calling with? Mayb T8s, blocking more sets? But you are not always 3 betting that hand pre. I also give him credit for having worse for value. Like an AT that doesn't want to face any more difficult decisions and just wants the hand over with. Mayb having the Qs in your hand is not ideal. Anyhoo, I am sticking in the money here, expecting to lose some of the time.

Other than sets, I think overpairs wo a ♠️ probably work better as defends. I thought V was more polarised and defs didn’t have worse for value, I could be wrong, but that was my read in game.

@leighbets6843 you keep saying he's bluffing but I don't think he is. Top pair with a flush draw is strong. In order for him to be bluffing he has to think you'll fold an overpair which I doubt. I think the turn jam was more a protection raise from aq ak aj. Where if one comes and you jam he wouldn't know where he's at. But I think overall besides this hand you pretty much played lights out! Especially for being new to a live stream you crushed it

Your analysis on the QJ of clubs hand is spot on. The check-raise from the BB from 125 to 300 was very milky and not the kind of sizing you expect from a , 87s, 98s or A8s hand to protect against the flushdraw and those hands also raise bigger to get more value from overpairs. So your radar was spot on and you felt that on the turn you could very well be drawing dead against 33 or T8s in hearts. (or the 1 combo of 88) And when villain nearly shoves on you on the river when the flush comes on there you have the confirmation that he is hoping that you have made the flush so that he has to have a boat that is shoving for value. Like you stated even Ax of clubs also beats you now so the fold is even easier. Tilt got the better here of you. But hey we are all human in the end. And the exaggerated 'celebration party' of your opponent..............yeah that's disgusting and inappropriate. The AJ was a good fold on the river. Well played. Better luck next time. 👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤
@leighbets68436 күн бұрын
I agree 100%! Hard for him to have anything but a boat when he bombs on this river. Hands worse than mine are either downbeting or checking. We’ll have to live & learn from this one. Not pay them off next time!

The TT hand is actually a sick bluff. That line feels like value for sure, i wonder if people ever do that with AK though. I think the Qjs hand is just a fold (and maybe not even a c bet on flop), since c betting multiway without nut flush draw can be really dicey. As you noted, the x/r turn, then bet river for huge is just never a bluff. If they are not betting 8x for value with that sizing (which they are not) then its just full houses and nut flush draws. GGs though and tough session - dont pay off the nits next time!!!

@@leighbets6843 You're better off making both those calls then chasing draws on paired boards or blowing up pots with no equity. Like if I raise with AQ and the flop is J/4/2 I'm never running a check raise unless someone has minimal money and I think I probably have the best hand. Kk spot is more of a call I think. It doesn’t make sense for him to shove set on semi wet board hoping to get a call or fold from what? Flush draw? Any 99 77 even 66 don’t 3bet the flop too often either unless they see the sizing to be too small.
@leighbets684327 күн бұрын
Fair points. I thought he might fast play sets to stack my overpairs, I could be wrong tho.
@mikeytanis760719 күн бұрын
It's more player dependent than gto or rational hand reading.. at lower stakes I don't hate the fold. ❤ You will pick up better spots to call an all-in if he is going all-in with semi bluffs.
@TheNow_NowАй бұрын
The KK spot is pretty gross. Maybe results oriented, but I really think checking here oop and multiway might be better. Youre a bit too deep to really play for stacks as played, and there are a lot of bad turn cards. You dont have any real nut advantage on this biard other than maybe a partial of 99. As played, i think you can consider calling with KK. theres a possibility you are beating some over played value portion of their range (TT-QQ). you are behind 9 combos of sets, and then ahead of all value combo draws. At the same time, i think bigger spots like this tend to be underbluffed probably by population. I also agree that the live tell of 'i dont have AA' seems very strong. You do unblock all fd combos though. Kk is basically top of range in this spot other than AA and 99, and maybe better to have KK no H than AA with a H too.
@leighbets684327 күн бұрын
Thanks for the breakdown! Appreciate the thought-provoking analysis. I agree the flop should be a check here.
