Nigeria was never, will never be a Nation. Nigeria is a business, created by the British for their administration and economic convenience. People wake up. You are not this primitive phenomenon called Tribes, we are group of Nation States. The so called Genz are product of conceptual Nation by the British called Nigeria. This geographical location called Nigeria has failed before it started. There will be more mutual respect if go back our precolonial status. The politician got on because Nigeria exploitation is their business. So why are you surprise?

Every tribe in Nigeria has its elements of tribalism, but overall Yorubas are the least tolerant of other tribes in Nigeria. Which other tribe is destroying fellow Nigerians properties besides the Yorubas. Which other tribe is threatening to drown other Nigerians if they don't vote for Yoruba. The handwriting is on the wall. Lagos was built on the back of all Nigerians . May God help us.

Yoruba has always been the most civilized and accommodating tribe in Nigera so much non-yoruba speaking tribes are now influencing elections in yoruba land,some even won elective post and some got political appointments,yet most of them will say yoruba is tribalistic 😅😅😅

It's not always tribalism when parents doesn't want their children to marry a certain tribes...Yoruba in general are not that bad. How to move on is division, it's not a MUST to be one Nigeria

You guys are talking as if there's only three tribes in Nigeria. How do you assemble only the Yoruba's and be discussing tribalism? Disappointed!
@IheanyichukwuKingsley5 ай бұрын
If this is discussed with clear conscience, you know that Igbo people are pretty far enough from tribalism. They are the ones when you talk about one Nigeria, is the Igbo. They erect structures anywhere in Nigeria, businesses, togetherness, development etc. They still lose them in terms of conflict, confiscation by the Federal Government which we all know, so you guys should not convey this to Igbo that they are tribalistic.
@abdul-kabiralegbe56605 ай бұрын
My observation is that Nigerians are largely two-faced people in the sense that the same person who's not tribalistic to you may be tribalistic to you when the opportunity presents itself. In other words they're mostly calculating and opportunistic about when they're tribalistic. All major ethnic groups due to their numbers are jealously guarding their areas of dominance. For the Ibos it's car spare parts and pharmaceuticals. For Hausas it's the Army, suya etc. For Yorubas it's selling agbo, etc. You can fill in the blanks for any I've left out. All this territorial behaviour is the result of not seeing each other as Nigerians first. Counterarguments are welcome but make your points without calling names.

This types of discussion will always follow the prevalent social media narratives when numbers and stats are never used. What does the number say during the election. Which tribes voted for its tribe's person the most and which tribe voted more equitably? People like to ignore the numbers which is the most objective barometer to measure this kind of complex and sensitive topics, instead, they go with personal views and opinions of those within their circles who likely share the same views as themselves and this can never be representative of reality.

The presidential voting patterns prove who is more tribalistic. The fact is that numbers do not lie. Igbos have voted for presidents from the North and presidents from the West. Neither the West of the North has voted for anyone from the East. =Igbos were attacked in Lagos and had their shops destroyed by Yorubas because they feared Peter Obi being president. GRV told was told shouldn't be allowed to win because his mother is Igbo and was called "ọmọ ale" by Yorubas. The more these people hate Igbos, the stronger Igbos will be become. A lot of projection in the comment from the real tribalists. They know in their heart that their hatred has blinded them to be okay with backwardness (corruption, no light, no good roads, lack of clean water, bad education system, terrorism, kidnapping, bad health care, cultism, etc) as long as Ndi Igbo suffers with them.
@ojoakoko4425 ай бұрын
It's unfair to use federal elections as to why Yorubas are tribalistic. I would have agreed if Peter Obi ran under PDP and doesn't have close to 50% of Yoruba votes. It has always been the North and South West.Is there any Labor party Governor in South West? The answer is NO. Peter Obi can not win without a solid structure (s) in a country like Nigeria where up 40% of the population are unemployed.
