Oldest recorded date of an Airbus A380 in Birmingham Airport. Initial services begun officially in March 2016 and revised in July 2023 after a 2-3 year gap hiatus during the COVID 19 pandemic.

Hello, Would you allow me to use some seconds of footage from your video to add to a short trailer I am making for a book I wrote about Birmingham Airport some years ago for my KZbin Channel? Full credit will be given of course. Thanking you, Peter kzbin.info/door/MkFuiFVNzQ9R_FlY9cdyuw

You gotta love every one of these aircraft. These jets & airlines are so much more exciting than the stuff you can see at todays airports around the world.

I am the second interviewee on this video and the event was very soon after I had taken the Hon Secretary's job with the then Vulcan 558 Club, latterly the Vulcan to the Sky Club. I was involved with the project to return XH558 to flight for 10 years. The fact that three Vulcan airframes remain in active order is testament to the volunteers who look after them. The Vulcan, is the most famous of the three V bombers and is an example of totally British aeronautical engineering at its zenith.

As of today the extended runway is here the monarch maintance shop is there the smaller planes still use the own runway near the monarch workshop and terminal 2 is still here the control tower is still here and of course they’ve extended the car park slightly to increase capacity of everyone using the car park
@Aviationadz964 жыл бұрын
Any news on the departure area that they was working on to extend But of course same time with the virus it may delay them even more

The Jersey aero Club have been doing airborne Treasure Hunts, as part of the Jersey Air Rally, years before 1996. I used to help run them. It was superb fun.

The A380 has no style, its just a massive hump of shit. I'd prefer to see an MD-80/MD-83, 747 or 767-300 land at BHX

The ship Columbus you were close to used to be the original Arcadia with P&O back in the late 90s. Looking her age compared to the Aurora. Can't believe how good the weather was for you :-)

Now this happens on a daily basis. Birmingham needs 747's now. They're just like the A380's except the upper deck is only at the front
