I guess that this gives a clear picture on how Fux's Gradus ad Parnassum is an important work on music. It gives a solid foundation on working with counterpoint, and, therefore, on the voice leading in harmony progressions.

If anyone wants further clarification on how this could be done, you need to set up the position and angle drive fields in each configurable joint, so that the object the joint component is added to will have a force that drives it to the proper position in relation to the connected body of its joint. Adding a drive force of about 100 and a dampener of about 10 or something will achieve something similar to this. Also, there isn't really any need to put the joint in the hierarchy shown. They can all be separate entities and it will work fine. But what I have noticed is, if the force applied to any of the joints is too much, the physics will go wacko mode... so, just fyi.

I found this both enjoyable to listen to and educational as it makes use of the Fux rules. I play piano and also write for big band, trombones, and other ensembles. This is fun to listen to.

Doesn't have any emotion in the composition. It just throws together a bunch of consonant tones. But, guess what? Somebody will like it. I sure fon't just banging on notes. Just sucks!

How do you keep the curve's length within the total length of the joint chain? I've used the catenary curve successfully but I'm really curious how you did this with a bezier curve. Any tips would be appreciated, original source would be awesome :)

I have something similar working but its not as perfect as this video. I use arc length then find the radius of the circle and use that as target points for rotation, but there is a slight over shoot on the two ends of the arc. Have you had any luck implementing this yourself?
