Oddly enough, I didn’t get a chance to read many of the plastic man comics. I would imagine they’re not hard to find for not too expensive. But I do love plastic man. I used to watch the cartoon not to mention I had a plastic man action figure from the superpowers collection.

Are you sure they only sold it in Metropolis, Illinois? (I've been there and been to that store) But I mean there's a million copies of this thing for sale on eBay
@bizarrebraincomics781922 сағат бұрын
I'm sure there are many on eBay etc. but not as many as other comics. I've never been to Metropolis, but I think originally that's where they were sold. There may have been some other distribution but I couldn't find anything about it.

I have it! Love the black and white retelling of Supe's origin. And I thrilled to the inside photos of production. I think Carmine Infantino inked that Curt Swan-drawn story, so it's really all the All-Stars. Mine is missing the bonus super size map of krypton! 😢

Fun fact! I’m technically related to Tarzan!(though by marriage)Johnny Weissmullers brother married my great aunt. With that aside, comics used to be fun. Comic riders used to write good stories that both children and adults could read. Now it seems they always have to be serious or have“The message”. Also, the advertisements are not near as interesting. They don’t have mailing order stuff anymore like they used to.

Yes, I'm somewhat familiar with one of the creators you showcased: John Blackburn. I own "Eros Graphic Albums #40: Coley Running Wild: Book Three: Hard Throb." It collects 2 comic book series featuring Coley's adventures: "Hard Throb" and "Dagger of Blood." I really appreciate Mr. Blackburn's art, and I was sorry to hear when he passed away some time ago. I hope to find the other 3 collected editions I know about, as well as the issues of the original series.

Such wonderful art from Brunner! I think of StarReach as one of the earliest attempts for mainstream artists to do work that they owned the copyrights. But perhaps they were more interested in drawing topless women, at the time, than creating marketable series that they could own themselves. Heh heh.

I'm almost 50 and did a reread of the entire Supreme run earlier this year. I had a blast reading through the series. My only complaint is a 4 or 5 issue run where Supreme became a woman, and even then, the secondary story kept it interesting. Keep the videos coming, and I'll keep watching.
