John Dennis who played Lt. Sofia's first credited role was Sgt. Ike Galovitch in From Here to Eternity. He was one of the Company boxers who tormented Private Robert E. Lee Prewitt for not joining the boxing squad. He ended up as Private Galovitch, latrine orderly. Willis Bouchey, the judge in this episode, was the Lieutenant Colonel who investigated the death of Prewitt. Also appearing in the movie were Phillip Ober, Claude Akins, Don Dubbins and Fay Roope.

The "academic" music in the episode is gaudeamus igitur, Therefore Let Us Celebrate. Also used in The Case of the Prankish Professor and two episodes of The Twilight Zone with academic settings.

In 1961, Puharich appeared as himself in the Perry Mason dramatic television series, in the episode "The Case of the Meddling Medium" (season 5, episode 6, first broadcast on October 21, 1961). He sets up an experiment using a Faraday cage in an attempt to demonstrate the extrasensory perception (ESP) abilities of Mason's client. If she has ESP, it implies that the trance she went into on the night of the murder, during which she produced automatic writing, may have been real.

Bill Idleson and Frank Maxwell appeared in the Twilight Zone episode "A World of Difference". Maxwell as Marty Fischer " your friendly neighborhood director" and Idleson as a stage hand. A washed up alcoholic actor has one last chance to salvage his career. I try to watch perry mason every time it comes on. Some episodes are really good.

Why did the Dr give the gasping man chloramine? That is only a disinfectant for water and would cause anemia.

The cast and producers were very loyal to Bill Talman and may have chosen these less than likeable replacements. Another and more logical alternative would have been to replace the DA and just adjust to no more having Hamilton Burger to kick around.

For all heroics as starship captain, William Shatner appeared in two episodes as a very fragile husband who is supported and inspired by a strong supportive wife. Patricia Breslin was his wife in "Nick Of Time". The newlywed couple is almost trapped in a small town by a devilish fortune telling machine in a cafe. In "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet", Christine White was the wife of newly released mental patient Shatner. White was the mentally troubled defendant in The Case of the Demure Defendant.

Kenneth Tobey was 3-0 against Earth invading monsters in the 1950s. An Air Force Captain in The Thing from another World (1951). An Army Colonel in The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms (1953). A Navy Commander in It Came from beneath the Sea (1955).

Katherine Squire was a virtous retired school teacher in the Twilight Zone episode One More Pallbearer. Willis Bouchey was a doctor in The Masks. Nan Peterson appeared in four episodes. Russ Bender appeared in three.

Trudy was so "needy" she would have clung to the second "dad" as fervently; if HE had shown up FIRST ! or even PERRY, at some point.

The 1950' s could be termed an atomic age. Nuclear power would desalinate sea water to irragate desserts, power ships at sea and in space and provide cheap, clean and safe electricity. There was even the ptediction that electric meters would no longer be needed as power would become almost free. So uranium would indeed become very valuable.
