whats great about dave's playing is that even though its quite sloppy, both his feel and rhythmic choices are absolutely brilliant. all the spontanious polymeters are just rad. there are certainly players who can play a lot more impressive parts, but no one can beat his feel and certainly not his rhythmic choices. plus he was high on every drug for most of this. pure heavy metal spirit.

i've been learning to play metal guitar over the past few months (i'm mainly a bassist) and i gotta say poland has really been an influence on the sound of my solos. as a person who's hand is partially paralyzed (i lost most of the control in my left pinky after i broke arm pretty bad) its amazing what you can accomplish with so few fingers.

I know Dave said he didn't like Kirk's solos but I find them to be pretty similar in the early albums. They both use the same pentatonic scale patterns, at least in the 80s. Kirk has devolved into Wah pedal abuse now though

I was never into megadeath, because i cant stand dave's voice. I am a huge fan from the band "ohm" and wanted to hear other music from chris. This record is a masterpiece. Thanks for the upload. His guitar sounds amazing and his choice of tones and his riffs are pure magic.

Chris' style is so distinctive. If you know the album, you can tell which song each solo is from without the title markers.

33:32. 27:15 too damn. tons of frustration in those flurries. his fast trem bends with the dive, original. best sounding chugging on an album too. this mix needs more bass.
