Wow,Welcome to Bangladesh. 🇧🇩 You can also visit other district other than Dhaka such as Chittagong, Rangamati, Bandarban etc... Hope you enjoy this trip.. A little footnote for foreign travellers... " Please don’t try roadside foods & use mask while visiting.. We Bangladeshi people have a very strong stomach & accustomed to air pollution. "😅

This was a great vlog! 👌 I had no idea Desh had a metro...so impressive. In sha Allah, the country continues to advance, but selfishly...🫣...I find myself kind of hoping it doesn’t lose its simplistic beauty, too. 😢 Also...I’m still in awe of the partially blind musician...he’s probably self-taught on the violin, which is incredible. 🤩

Thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The metro is something that has opened in the last couple of years, so it is new to Dhaka. There is work going on to extend it further, so it will be even better to serve this busy capital.

Bro, did your parents not teach you Bengali, only English?.I don't understand one thing why they lose their heritage when they go abroad😢😢
@LifeSkoolGenZ9 күн бұрын
That's the thing. They only spoke bangla. It was me that rejected it. I explained in the video a little about how I wanted to be like the British. It is a sort of inferiority complex. This lasted into my early adult years, where later on, islam-arab culture was being preferred. Only in the last decade, I became more awake to all this. And reconnected back to my roots more deeply.

Now very complicated and need parental details because in last two decades million over Myanmar Rohinga slipped through loopholes and obtain full Bangladesh nationality. To prevent this parents details made necessary now.However you or your son daughter born here and painstaking process,one should give time and efforts to have Bangladesh nationality. It's safe always.
@LifeSkoolGenZ9 күн бұрын
Ah, that's interesting. I always thought the Rohingya issue was more recent. Didn't realise it was an issue over the last 20 years. Thank you for that information. So before this, didn't Bangladesh used to need parent details? I always thought it was a tradition to link parents in everything. Please educate me on this. 🙏🏽

Salaam kashem bahi. I was in your situation last year when I went desh for only 4 days. Alhamdulillah, i manged to get my digital birth certificate organised in that time. Next visit or even from uk Bangladeshi embassy we can get our ID card
@LifeSkoolGenZ11 күн бұрын
Wa alaikum assalaam bhaiya, You managed to do it in 4 days! That's amazing. I was told off for leaving it so late and going to visit other parts of Bangladesh. I thought it would be a simple process, but i was wrong and left it until too late. I need to go back and start the ID Card process, which I'm told is going to be more straightforward. They just need fingerprints and photo. That's it.

Do you know or can you find out, for a person born in the UK, can they have a Bangladeshi birth certificate with place of Birth stating they was born in the UK?
@LifeSkoolGenZ12 күн бұрын
Yes, you can. As long as one or both of your parents were Bangladeshi born. You can apply for this NID for yourself using the embassy services in London. Feel free to ask any other questions because I will try to get them answered for you, and this is important for connecting people with their heritage.

I feel the same way. Although I feel like migrating to an Arab country like Oman, Saudi, UAE. Because quality of life is there, and it allows me to live my life according to my religion. Bangladesh has poor quality of life, even if you have money. UK, as you said we are not made to feel like we belong here, even know every Ramadan im made to feel like I’m starving myself even though they now know fasting is good for the body and their science has caught up to the benefits of fasting. This country is cold and miserable and poor. It’s not the same country our parents migrated to in the 60’s and 70’s.
@LifeSkoolGenZ17 күн бұрын
You hit the nail on the head with that last sentence. This country is not the same anymore. Even for the native people. It is no longer desirable as it once was. About the point of quality of life in Bangladesh however, I was wondering if you had the chance to experience how the wealthy lived there. I have met some wealthy people and it seems that they had it all. Their homes, their money and their lifestyle was all so great.

It's interesting the origins of some of our common practices. I also heard it was to show the other person that you are unarmed and come in peace. So you would show your hands were free of any weapons through a handshake.

👏👏👏 All humans have the same organ etc underneath the skin or clothing. Our differences in this world make a more fruitful one if its allowed. Kindness and treating everyone with respect is key. We in the UK have Religious Studies in schools to educate our young generations to be respectful of others beliefs as they grow, to learn handling situations such as meet & greet of the opposite gender and if the hand shake is kindly refused to respect the person and to respect themselves and lovingly honour their wife or husband by not touching the opposite sex. We need more beautiful hearts like this Sandra in this world.
