I bought an Ender 3 V3 about 2 weeks ago and it has been the most Pleasant thing I've ever had in my entire life. For halloween, I ended up getting an Ender 3 V3 Plus for $1.15 more than its smaller brother so I ended up returning the regular V3 model and will be keeping the V3 Plus. Remarkable printer, remarkable software, and remarkable experiences so far. This is my first and well, now my second 3D printer and I would highly recommend either model. I should also mention that I purchased this for my business so that I can manufacture parts on the dime and on the whim for much cheaper for some of the custom work that I do. For me, I use it to make money, and I typically keep this printer running 24/7 constantly manufacturing parts that I need for my company. I even connected it to a 1500VA APC for more uptime when the power flickers.

Do you know how to send the print directly to the printer? I have creality print hooked up and can monitor the print there, but is there a way to wirelessly send the exported g code from Orcaslicer to the printer via wifi? Right now i am just shuttling the gcode via a thumb drive. thanks

Look up the printer IP address in the menus on the printer. Go to a browser and enter that IP. It brings up the control interface. You can't upload g code files to there. It should also work that you enter that ip in cura or orca to directly upload but it never works for me.

nerf torrent? more like nerf torment cuz this is a hot piece of plastic garbage. Dont buy this blaster due to following reasons: 1. the darts are the worst on the market 2. this blaster has mag compability issues 3. the prime of the blaster is disgustingly crunchy 4. the trigger pull is really stiff 5. its just to expensive
@davetriesthis3 күн бұрын
All good reasons for you. I don't think the darts are bad and I don't have any mag compatibility issues as its magazine is what I use. Not sure trigger pull is what I'd base my decisions on.

@@davetriesthis I am talking from a more professional standpoint within the nerf hobby the mags are the only ones that fit in blaster wth no problems. It doesnt accept any worker talons or any other mag with the same geometry. The darts are really not the best. compared with other darts like worker darts, dart zone nitroshot or even xshot short darts the nerf pro darts are not the best. one thing to perhaps mention is that if you have an apple watch the touchID key is useless
@davetriesthis3 күн бұрын
Good point but the watch doesn't ping to use it to verify for most tasks. It'll unlock the Mac and you can use it for payment but you can't do a lot of system dialog things with it. If you've got 1Password installed as an extension in a browser the need for touchID drops a lot too.

It sounds like a motherboard issue, and you should contact their support. Make sure that you send them a video showing it not turning on when you flip the switch and send your serial number. They'll need both. I did a motherboard replacement and it's pretty easy. It's just remove connector from old board and put on new. Repeat.

Yes it’s my fist printer and wanted to print some larger Props and Cosplay stuff. It’s not a great experience so far. Bought it around March. Started printing some Test prints and i couldn’t get the First layer to stick especially in the outer part. Only way to fix it was printing in 5 mm the first layer and even then it was not sure if it would fail. Fast forward ,got a blob of death one time, couldn’t print, Elegoo sent over a new hotend, haven’t printer since that till 2 weeks ago and the first layer was bad all over the place, peeling of, not sticking together etc.😤😤. Have tried everything i cloud find online nothing really helped 😢.

It's certainly more like old school 3D printing. Luckily printers lines those from Bambu and others are pushing printers in a more automated direction. Still, printers this big will always be more difficult to use because problems are magnified by the size of the print bed

@denebedwards18308 күн бұрын
Just found your videos. My 4 max isn't pushing filament. The wheel is spinning but nothing is coming out. at first I thought there was a clog but if I push on the filament it comes out and prints just fine as long as I'm putting pressure. I found this out after I bought a replacement nozzle kit. Is there a tensioner or something on the direct drive feeder or is the feeder stripped out?
@davetriesthis7 күн бұрын
There's a small hole on the right side when facing the printer (this is from memory so it could be the other side). Needs one of the small Allen wrenches that came with the printer. You can turn that to increase the extruder tension. It turns *counter clockwise* to tighten for some reason.
@AverageDaveVideos9 күн бұрын
You can pull out the nozzle, as shown at the end, without any of these steps or a screwdriver. Just put on the bottom slightly with your finger. Mine was used for nearly a year and came right out.

I’ve been using a different filament on Amazon that has been incredible.. it has a weird name tho that I can’t remember right now but it’s been great for $13-$14 a roll.. I recently JUST switched to Elegoo PLA + because my normal high speed PLA that I swore was the best ever for the money was always out of the colors I needed on Amazon. I am super excited to try this new Elegoo PLA+.. the reviews say it’s top notch and I bought a 4 pack multi color packs with ALL 4 colors I was needing for just over $10 a roll! You can’t beat it! And if it prints as good as everyone says it does or even as good as my last go-to filiment then I’ll be VERY happy.. as they offer better colors more consistently AND I’m saving $3-$4 PER roll!

Have you tried their ASA (or ABS) by chance? That's mostly what I print and there's a lot of variance between brands.
@davetriesthis9 күн бұрын
I've used their ABS but only a little job. It was great as well. Creality also makes a great ABS.
@BiffsEquipment9 күн бұрын
@@davetriesthisI agree! I have tried lots of ABS as I print with that materials regularly for Tool holders and outdoor stuff and the creality “CR series” ABS is not only very cheap and affordable but has amazing colors and just WORKS. I have prolly used 30 rolls in various colors by now and have yet to have a single issue on my Flashforge 5m Pro. I just recently bought an A1 mini with their multi color system and can’t wait to test my new Elegoo 4 pack multi color filiment on it!
@BiffsEquipment9 күн бұрын
It’s actually funny because everyone says “ABS is SOoO hard to print” yet it’s the EASIEST and most nice looking prints I do with my 5m pros.. zero stringing, beautiful and consistent layer lines, easy to remove supports, and just perfect. I just thought it was funny cuz everyone says it’s the hardest to print out of all the common types but I always felt it was easy.. it’s almost as easy as PLA and certainly more consistent than PETG for me.
@JJFX-9 күн бұрын
@@BiffsEquipment 100% agree... there's a learning curve but once you crack that code it's my favorite material to work with. Even my old modified E3-Pro with an enclosure handled it perfectly. I avoid PETG at all cost unless I need more flexibility or a certain chemical resistance. I have no idea why it was touted as better than ABS for so long and the plastic creep makes it a no-go for me when it comes to structural parts. I truly despise that material. The fact ASA is so much easier to get cheap now is even better and CF-ASA is a dream to work with. A lot of printer components are overhyped but the best investment I've made is a 0.5mm tungsten carbide nozzle. I highly recommend it.

In Australia the cheapest price is $80, if it was $40, I might consider it. But then you also need alexia, which requires an amazon prime subscription. Which adds to the price, so probably not some thing I would buy!

That sounds like the x axis offset is too high. Give it another shot leveling it. Sounds crazy but it also might be that the nozzle is too low so the filament is getting pulled by it. In either case check the offset.

Question on the bed levelling. What column of numbers am I supposed to look at and when? There are 6 columns and some are in dark colours and others are in lighter colours. I haven’t found anything on what that means so I’m flying blind.
@davetriesthis16 күн бұрын
The printer samples points on the bed from left to right then front to back. Each box is a sample point. So if you're looking at the grid, the bottom left number is the wheel closest to you the bottom right number is the wheel closest to your right side and so on. Ideally, you want to get all of the boxes close to zero, because that means that the bed is flat. The problem is that you can only adjust the bed by adjusting the six screws. So getting those left and right column numbers close to zero should bring the rest of the bed as close to zero as possible
