@babyduckproductions_ so very true. I own 10 acres in the vermont National Forest region and was attempting to buy more. I went to many city council meetings to try and acquire the land, but they wouldn't sell. They harvested 55àcres of trees in the southern vermont national forest. Instead of letting my family buy it and preserve it. That was in 2012.

All these places are such treasures in Western NY, but my personal favorite is decidedly Beaver Meadows, because of my love of astronomy! Smack in the middle of that beautiful Audubon Society sanctuary is an observatory! 🌌❤

Don't know how NFG guys deal with that kind of snow. Service guys keeping the customers in gas , crews fixing freeze powder and water offs,and to read meters in that really sucks. Hats off to the electric guys , and all utilities up there , a rare breed to have to deal that kind of weather.

My ex-husband played for the Bills back in the 70s. That lake effect snow was no joke! I lived in Montana and other subzero places but nothing compared to Buffalo's weather. Good people in Buffalo, by the way. At least back then.
