Can your totes handle being filled to the top? I was tempted to use mine for that today instead of my blue barrels. Thanks bro
@FoamGuy
@FoamGuy 15 күн бұрын
@@joeladkins7083 yes but I don’t. I use the foam powder from party machines so I have to stir and still put the pump in therefore filling to the top for foam purposes can backfire as some water will leak out. I definitely fill up over 8/10th of the tote for sure. The tote itself doesn’t cave in nor fold with that amount of water. I’ve seen a lot of our peers use the barrels, I personally never have but just feel the totes are easier to move around and give a more professional look. I could be wrong lol but that’s my take. Thanks for checking out my video!!! I wish your business well!!!

@@FoamGuy thanks for the reply. I use the powder from Partymachines as well. I started with 55 gallon barrels because they were about $10 each from a local guy. I like your transporting idea though, probably gonna try the totes today for a toddlers bday I’m doing. Appreciate your time, hope your business is booming!

@@joeladkins7083 my pleasure!! those will work, too. I would think your foam would be “thicker” than with the 70 gallon tote which is cool but you likely get less time. I’m sure we could do the math but it’s too early for all that lol but I doubt it’s something drastic like 20 minutes less. The best part about owning your business is you can do what you want lol I’ll pick up a 55 gallon tote and compare the two in a video so we can get some numbers and science for the different experiences. cheers to you bro!!! I wish you many many bookings 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

@@FoamGuy thanks man! Absolutely gotta do what works! I usually get about 50 minutes with my 1/3 hp pump into a super e foam machine. I use the smaller one for kids parties. I made a 1hp large cannon for bigger events, that usually gets about 30 minutes or so depending how long I run it.

The foam cannon. The pit is good and popular too but the cannon is the franchise player.

Thank you for checking out my video!! I use a 70 gallon storage bin and 1 pack lasts close to an hour of straight shooting. The cannon isn’t used for a consecutive hour tho. You go for a few minutes then stop and let them play in what’s built up then you shoot again and so forth and so forth. The foam pit is consistent foam tho. Pros and cons really. You have to “man” the cannon while the pit just starts up then goes.

Use caution using the foam with an inground swimming pool, awesome video
@FoamGuy
@FoamGuy 4 ай бұрын
Thank you and absolutely 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 I’m putting together a video for the way I shoot in pools but basically I shoot directly across and make a “bridge” looking pile of foam that can be swam through. You definitely don’t want to cover a majority nor the entire pool. That could be horrific. I also put barriers on the side I’m shooting at so people can’t walk over there. The foam could cover the exterior of the pool and cause somebody to fall in without realizing they’re even close.

Is this business dead in the winter time? Also what's the difference between the black and yellow foam canon? Online I seen it was like a extra 1k? Thanks
@FoamGuy
@FoamGuy 10 ай бұрын
It depends where you're located but it definitely takes a hit compared to the summer time. I'm in California so it slows down November - January but in other states it completely shuts down during those months. If you're talking about the foam daddy cannon, it's about twice the cost and it shoots around 5 more feet and moves up/down more freely. I highly recommend this cannon over that one unless you're starting off with over $10k. The differences dont justify twice the cost but the ability to move up/down easier is dope. Thanks for checking out my video!!!

@FoamGuy
@FoamGuy 10 ай бұрын
@@Luquin88 no, not at all but you have to use what’s made for foam. Some of these other dudes try to save a buck and use wild things like dish soap from dollar stores and that will impact the grass especially if having a longer party but if you buy your foam powder or gel from foam daddy or party machines then you won’t have any problem. Same with skin and eyes. Use the right stuff and you won’t have any problems.

@FoamGuy
@FoamGuy Жыл бұрын
Thank you!!! And thank you for checking out my video. I do it "full time" but I also rent jumpers, water slides, tables and chairs and theater style big screens. I run it completely solo and projecting gross for the year around 70k. I put quotations around full time because it's not a 40 hour type hustle. The majority of the action is Friday - Monday with Monday being dedicated to cleaning everything. The trick is getting those weekday bookings and once those come in, your entire life changes bro!! My current goal is employees next spring and at that point the math will be nice but they might be needed sooner. For example, I have 4 foam parties this weekend but could have had 2 more if not for time conflicts which would be fixed with employees. I didnt have that issue in June tho so there's evidence of successful scaling in process 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 do it bro!!!
@FoamGuy
@FoamGuy Жыл бұрын
Also worth noting is I only buy equipment that one man can handle. I don't have any of those 20+ foot slides for example. If those become a variable, which they can with employees, that yearly sky rockets also. Pros and cons. I do every job by myself but outside of foam, the most expensive rental by itself is $250 for an all day water slide.

Do you find that powder foam is better than liquid or gel foam like Foam daddy sells?
@FoamGuy
@FoamGuy Жыл бұрын
Yes. Powder is super easy to store and it mixes on the spot. Also, it's one pack per tote. No measuring or anything. Foam Daddy gel needs to be prepared beforehand then transported to the site and then mixed with the water. I see people in FB groups debate the amount of mixture for gel all the time. I just dump 1 pack on site then stir with a broom stick and I'm done 🔥🔥🔥🔥
