Yes I think so. Speakers 6.5"x2 would fit nicely on the 17"L box

@@kylewilliams3306 I would go with the larger box that you listed.. the smaller box is going to be very close and is better suited for smaller speakers like 4".. I just did a plastic box with two 6.5" speakers and it is about 17"L x 11"H x 6"W, it fit great and you can see it here: studio.kzbin.infoiSrZkV52jQ0/edit

@@JoeyJenrette yes hole saw is the correct way.. make sure it is the right size.. once you get the hang of it it’s not too bad.. don’t press down too hard, and I sometimes use wd40 as cutting fluid

@@beastmode2990 I think you will be fine with the 2 12v 12ah batteries, I usually just use 1 battery 10 or 12ah , sometimes I boost it to 20v.. last time I boosted I used a 20ah , always lifepo4 too.. they all have great battery life

@@caseymoto update if you want to know 2 speakers 40w RMS 160 peak with a car audio and one battery 12v12ah lasted 4 hours and it wasn't full empty i wanted to add 2 more speakers but its over kill honestly

@@caseymoto ye sounds better i got 2 hertz x130 speakers and with the car audio they sound fantastic even at max volume tomorrow ill get some mdf 60x40 and some 40x40 panels and i will make a box cause the 12ah battery is bigger than the 7 or 9ah but i am impressed with the time it held i thing 2 smaller speakers at 25w would work really nice but for now ill stay with those 2 ill keep you updated if you want on how it will work out with the box

at 1:01 in this video, you can see one of these has a subwoofer.. the subwoofer has two sets of terminals (+ and - wires), you can wire one set to the left channel and one set to the right channel.. you can then wire in a tweeter on each of those channels... Could I use a dewalt 20v battery being that the Bluetooth mother board is rated between 12volts to 24volts? Just curious before I connect it together haha

@@nitorena7042 usually I increase the voltage to 20-21v (using a voltage booster) when using 6.5” speakers.. for the 4” speakers I like the power output with 12v thru this amp so I’ve never tried higher voltage on these speakers.. but it should work and I’ve been wanting to try dewalt 20v instead of boosting a 12v

yes, that is correct.. you can see this at 9:35 in the video. It is displaying 13.2v which pretty much means full. around 11.5v or so it is basically dead

hey thanks man. this is a 5.25" kicker speaker, which is listed at 200 watts, the amp is listed at 100 watts per channel, and the speaker is wired into both channels.. not sure how many watts it is actually getting, maybe 70?

@@caseymoto You're welcome. I plan on using four of these mini-kegs with some Polk Audio 5.25 woofers to provide a lot of good mid-bass using a couple of old Alpine 70w x 2 amps to push them. Nice to know that it's in the same general power range as yours. It gives me some decent idea of what to expect! Have you ever attempted a 6.5"?

Do you wrap your battery with sound mat, will it make the battery get hot?

I do wrap the battery, but not completely. The bottom and back are touching walls so are not necessary.. I have never had a problem with heat, but I also don't think you will notice a difference in sound quality with or without wrapping battery.. I have seen the mat used in minimal coverage on some applications and still works, and I am more concerned with covering the metal on the box

Do you have a video of installing the amp with the control knobs sticking out between the speakers. Also do you use screws with nuts to hold the speakers and controls the the can?

For the amp mount: drill 3 holes, take careful measurements to get the locations right. use cardboard to make a template if you have to. The amp comes with three nuts threaded down on the three knobs, remove the nuts, stick knobs thru holes, then twist down nuts, it will be secure...yes I use 6-32 1" machine screws with nuts for holding everything to can
