I was there for Dark Side of the Moon SLC 11/2/98 but THIS is the one I always wished for. The glorious and Greezy smack addled era w Mick Taylor in the Stones.Soo many great tunes. ‘71-73 was magical for rock tunage.

His voice sounds a little brighter here (especially when he sings into his higher range). It’s cool :)

I cant believe i was there. My cousin and i drove from our homes in southern ca., leaving a few days before christmas. Stayed in houston with family we'd only met once for the holiday and then camped the rest of the way. Then the traffic jam....then the shows...what a trip. Ive never seen the actual performace replay until now, thanks for poating this!

Tom sure is excuberant and full of joy during this show. It's heartwarming to see him happy. I have a strong feeling that he has that sweet joy now that he is on the Other Side. Bless him.

To think Tony and Mike had the opportunity to have David Longdon and Chester Thomson on this tour and they settled for this! No wonder they couldn't complete the tour, the Guitar was truly dreadful 😢

I recorded this when it broadcast live on the local FM station on cassette. Since then transferred it to cdr. Still listen to it now. U2 performed that day and Sting with the Police. Great show.

I was on the floor for this show. It was about 16 months after my son was diagnosed with Autism. It was really hard. I was an on and off again emotional mess drinking too much and probably partying too much whatever that means. During Fast Enough For You, I completely lost it. The lyrics "It isn't nearly fast enough for you - its what I was afraid of stumbled into view." Those lyrics hit me hard. I interpreted them as if I was speaking them to my son - basically saying or interpreting it that the world moves fast too fast for you my son. Will never forget that moment. And looking back, I had no idea that Trey too was really struggling in his personal life. I think he felt sad during this version I really do. You can hear the pain. This is is a special show on may levels just like 2/22/03

It's amazing that the next several Festival shows were not chasing this dragon and yet no less successful. IT was great. Festival 8 was insane. They crushed Bonnaroo. Most bands would have driven themselves insane trying to recreate or top this, but Phish is able to let it live in it's own history.

I walked out of the huge row of ATMs inside the "venue" on the 31st and shouted "I have money! Who's got my anything?!" This guy walks up to me and says "Eat of the gum, my brother"...hands me a re-wrapped stick of juicy fruit gum with acid on it. No charge lol. Didn’t buy anything with the cash until about 3pm the next day in northern Florida on the way back to Ohio for work at 6am on the 2nd. Wouldn't trade a minute of that whole weekend unless I could get more Phish to replace the 8 hours in Alligator Alley 😂
