Hi Tom another Great Scenic Video , so how many miles did you get out of the Trident before she run out of power ? That is a problem with the Mid Drive Motors ,they can eat into the battery ,and as you say the Ranger would of done the ride with power left :) Its like a catch 22 more torque but less battery power ,but at least you can ride it back down or home :) It did look like a fun ride though !
@TomsEbikeJourney25 күн бұрын
Hi Jamjar how you doing? Yeah this was a fun ride on a very fun bike. This big mid drive motor does better than any other I have ridden when it comes to smooth power delivery and range, but it still uses much more juice than the hub drives. I was able to do 20 miles of pretty steep uphill in pedal assist 2 and sometimes 3 before I used up the fully charged battery. Cheers

What do you think about the difference between an E MTB that weighs less than 25 kg and has a mid-motor and the Cyrusher Ranger, is there a big difference or can you also use the Ranger to ride, let's say, strong trails where it goes downhill?

Just to clarify, the Ranger is big and heavy and I do not put it in the class with serious e-mtb's or ever call it a e-mtb. With suspension upgrades and gearing changes it is however an indestructible trail bike with tons of power. I have so much fun on that bike! Cheers

Hi Jamjar, how you been? Yeah, this Trident is by far my favorite mid drive bike. Big power from the motor and a really nice improved power curve. Better battery life too now with the big 20ah 52v battery! Full air suspension and a great overall design. My Cyrusher Ranger still has a further range than this Trident, so I take it on the longer rides! Cheers

@@LeCabdAntoine Hi Antoine, yes I really like the dnm inverted fork. This one is an improvement over the dnm inverted fork that I put on my Ranger. that fork has a lot of flex whereas this new model does not. You will need to swap out the front wheel bearings to fit it to the larger diameter axle but it’s easy enough to do.

You do enjoy your snow. I been riding in my areas in Washington State. I ride about 55 miles a day. Except today I am having to do other stuff at home. Once weather is okay and no fricking wind like today is bad to ride. I had a stroke, and some riding is so much better than my older normal bike. I am planning to go over the mountain Snoqualmie Pass, it will be 80 miles in one day, hum. Do you ever get to ride with others? My best friend rides a normal bike, but he can go 1,000 miles or more. Seems like really cheap powder coating, one can see at 3:08 on the axle and again at 05:27 when installing the wheel, even the plastic knurled adjustment knobs seem to have scratched through it, quite apart from the scratches pointed out at 07:02. I don’t imagine it somehow won’t rust. The top cover seems to be designed in such a way as to prevent water from getting off the top except through the stitching, lol.

Very cool looking bike but seems to be terribly slow. I bought a couple bikes recently one is a Wired brand ebike and that goes 45mph but on a hill like that it would probably only go 40mph. Its peddle assist or you can just use throttle only and not peddle. That bike shipped to me was about $2300 and has a 60v battery and a 2200w motor. My other bike is a Surron X and its also 60v but i think the battery is 6000w and that sucker rips. I don't think this bike should be named Nitro at that slow of speed and acceleration. I clicked on the title because Nitro sounded fast but that could'nt be further from the truth!
@TomsEbikeJourney8 ай бұрын
Hello, yes the wired bike and the Surron are a couple of the fastest bikes out there right now. I have both and they rip! The Surron is in my opinion an electric motorcycle, it shouldn’t be confused with an e-bike. The Wired freedom has crazy acceleration but it really isn’t an off road bike, the suspension kinda sucks and the geometry is not good for mountain biking. The Nitro is a good off road bike, handles nicely with the 1000w mid drive has loads of low end power. You may be right about the name but it will outclimb the wired. The Surron will smoke them both, but again it is really an electric motorcycle.
