using your "Analysis of Categorical Data with R" in a data analysis course. Excellent book. very concise, well organized and full of good examples and coding in R. congratulations

Mr. Bilder, thank you very much for making this video available for all of us. I am writing a dissertation on models for variance and the video has helped me understand the key concepts of the FIGARCH model and gave me enough knowledge to understand the paper.

I might have missed something in the explanation but was there particular reason why width = 23 or that was just randomly chosen?

For Thompson’s Method, you say the z and f vector is p*m*1 vector….i thought a vector is suppose to be one dimensional. Did you mean p+m *1?

is the probability of the baseball player making a free shot, that you gave in earlier lecture, is that an example of joint probability of making first shot and making 2nd shot?

Thank u so much Profesor, I have been looking in these topic, specially for interpretation, there is a huge gap in understanding. Categorical data is really a beast on its own.

Hey, I’m doing multivariate logistical regression and having an issue. Let’s say my IV is categorical (age), and I have it in brackets 18-30 30-40 etc, and the p-value is below 0.05 for all ages apart from 2 categories. How do I interpret this?

I have a question if these confidence intervals are wide is there another process to estimate which cis it are narrower
@ChrisBilder Жыл бұрын
The wideness simply could be due to the inherent variability of the data application. One could try to find an explanatory variable (independent variable) to help explain this variability, which could then lead to narrower intervals. Please see the regression model with ARIMA errors video (one of the last videos in the playlist).
