@okbookguy dont be turned off by the kind of music john mayer plays. i agree with you that i hate pop and everything that has to do with it but dont knock john mayer's guitar skills. hes very talented

3 months ago I heard the name bonamassa for the first time. 3 weeks ago i was at one of his gigs. the first song i´ve heard was "dust bowl" and i thought "it´s a great song, it has to be his best". then i´ve heard "the ballad of john henry" and i thought "it´s an amazing song, it has to be his best". after that i´ve heard "happier times" and i thought "it´s such a beautiful song, it has to be his best". last week i´ve heard "steal your heart away" ...the story without an end, i´m impressed!!!

@waynewallace08 Well that's the thing, man. Rock n' Roll ain't perfect. It's not supposed to be! When rock n' roll came about, it basically took the rest of history's music and put a boot up its ass, and gave it the finger. Anyway, Joe is the shit. I envy his ability, and that ability to make notes flow into each other so perfectly. Like none other. But we also gotta remember, no two guitar players are the same.

@okbookguy He is no SRV cause his own style is nothing near SRV, he is influenced and he does use a lot of licks when he wants to play like SRV, but they are 2 different styles. Bonamassa is tremendously good, huge talent men, probably one of the best out there nowadays.

I've been listening to him quite a bit tonight. He's good. He's no Stevie Ray. But he's really good, which is more than can be said of that metro-sexual John Mayer.

Interesting vid clip! Seen Joe perform this 5 or 6 times and its gets better every time. Pity the sound quality is a bit tinny and half the track is cut out! But you can see what 26 years practice 7 to 8 hours a day 76 days a week gets you to.
