Agreed. The level of quality is night and day, in my opinion. I feel like HoD puts quality of content above any “social messaging” unlike what seems to be happening over at LucasFilm.

it's so disingenuous to put George Lucas on a pedestal for the flow and cohesiveness of the first star wars when the early cut was so famously a disaster that had to be nearly entirely redone by a new editing team, the cast and crew found him hard to work with creatively, and multiple cast members have mentioned how terrible the script was for a lot of cut lines. Star Wars was not great because of George Lucas, it was very much a team effort and sometimes it feels like it was a success despite him. This vid isn't even lying by omission, it's just lying.

George Lucas has said I wanted to make a Monomyth. A said story that branches out over years of people interacting with it. Much like the epic of Gilgamesh, that has been done every which way for eons, he wanted another epic for the current generations. And all the lore so many people got invested and created for it from revan and on he created the next Gilgamesh through Star Wars.

Yeah, on one try until you realize Leia made out with the brother she always knew he was, or the memories of her mom she could never have. lol Lucas was a good story teller but those first 3 movies make no fuckin' sense because they're making shit up as they go. The Prequels made more goddamned sense, but that's probably because they were prequels, not that it made them immune.
