Commentators need to just shut up and let us enjoy the game. They're giving too many predictions, they're giving me a headache

I wish they talked more. Four commentators were needed.

Reminds me of GM So's easy crush of Kasparov. Wesley has it in him to be the champ in all forms of chess. The only question is, does he want it enough? Is he hungry enough to do what we know he can with total concentration on chess. America's next world chess champion, or will he be satisfied with crushing all the leading contenders? Shoot the moon Wesley, you can do it!

LOL, (a) Carlsen wasn't 'angry,' and (b) the commentary is very surface level - it tries to use vocal excitement as a substitute, but it just doesn't work. Going on the "do not recommend channel" list for the "angry Carlsen" clickbait.

If I'm not mistaken his parents migrated to Canada while he stayed in the Philippines to develop his talent before he eventually moved to the US which maybe why for some reason he plays better in that country.

Classy for Magmaximus to resign even after making last move!

The only ways to beat Magnus is to attack and be aggressive. Being passive, Magnus will eat you alive. Wesley found a way to be effectively aggressive and put Magnus in defensive mode.

I hate that they're altering the virtual board making it seem like that was the actual move by the player. They can show a tiny board that shows all their assumptions and doodles. As tiny as can be as nobody cares about those obvious calls. Also, why won't you just stfu for a few secs?!

Really looks like he is yelling at Dennis. The players can hear each other, and the fact he leans into the camera to shout looks like he is bullying the kid. No wonder the next game the kid just gave up that draw. Prolly scared to death to beat him at that point and end up like Hans Neiman lol.

MC usually can rely on the stress of playing against him to swindle a draw/win even in a lost position. Denis faded all his tricks masterfully. Impressive.

@fursuitjumpscare3 ай бұрын
He didn't do that because it'd lose. His own queen was under attack, and trading would mean giving up his strongest attacking piece.
