really heplful tutorial, but how do i make the material apply to the hair only, excluding suzanne skin? i dont want a chocolate monkey :(
@maralelagoz89222 күн бұрын
Hi I just downloaded the free demo and I'm pretty new to Blender so I don't really know how to apply this moss to an asset I made in my own scene instead of the monkey in yours?

So when I try painting on the right side the hair particles come out of the left side and nothing on the right side, do you know why this might be?

Hello! Please tell me, is it possible to adjust the amount of curve splitting depending on its length? I want the upper branches to have fewer leaves than the lower ones. or can this only be controlled through the delete geometry and the size of the radius. Thx!

The flowers are meshes, is it possible to set up a pin group, and animate the flower petals with a cloth simulation? It should be, although I've been playing with it, but most of the examples I'm drawing from are for very old versions of Blender, so they no longer work.
@NinoDefoq12 күн бұрын
Setting up a pin group within geometry nodes is not possible yet, sadly. You can however just apply the geonode setup and take it from there.
@Nareshistudio13 күн бұрын
I setup the nodes as you advised but the fur material doesn't align with the model texture

Nice video! It seems as if when I duplicate the hair, the duplicated hair floats above the mesh and is not attached to it. Would you happen to have any idea on how to fix this?
@chimpanzee427119 күн бұрын
Ohh and by the way, if anybody is having the same problem, use interpolate hair instead of duplicate, and change the distance to guide and density options

Great series, do you have any idea on how to hide the fur so you can have more than 1 fps while animating?
@NinoDefoq28 күн бұрын
Hiya! I'd just set the viewport display percentage of hair to be 0% or a low amount :)
@PablotheBeardedDragon29 күн бұрын
Hmm, it seems as if when i apply the duplicate hair modifier that the hairs sort of get laid on top of the others and not around them.
@PablotheBeardedDragon29 күн бұрын
Nevermind! Of course, it happens when i added way too little curves to start with
@Octobertiger13Ай бұрын
You might have mentioned it and I missed it, but what is the best way with this method to mask out areas you don't want hair?
@NinoDefoq29 күн бұрын
Hiya, I'd either just remove it in the hair sculpt tool, or I'd add a delete geometry node right at the start and add a "Named Attribute" set to your desired weight paint group and add that in the seleciton.

This is one of the best particle hair system tutorials I've watched. Been interested in sculpting animals lately, so this is gonna help. :)
@MaseM_youtubeАй бұрын
hey theres no such thing as a density brush, my scult mode settings looks completely diffrent from yours
@NinoDefoqАй бұрын
Hiya. That may be because you selected something else than the curve object when you go to sculpt mode. The sculpt mode for a regular object is different than a hair curve object.

What if I want to use more than one object? I've tried using a Collection node and then setting Instances to Geometry, but it takes the overall composition and repeats it (meaning the whole collection gets treated like a single object and it repeats regularily, defeating the "natural" feeling)
@NinoDefoqАй бұрын
You should be able to just use the collection input in the modifier panel!

@@NinoDefoq I am coming from a photography background and over those 38 years, focused a lot on old structures, and creepy textures. What I have done so far is in DAZ, and I'm 6 months into blender, so what I have now is more collections of "To DO" images. Regardless, I'm paid in 3 days, dying to buy this, dying to try it out, hope I don't die before I do. Thanks for responding, it's so rare nowadays. Love the product in advance.
