Thank you so much! I am so glad you liked it. ☺The skinnier wood strip was in my wood pile. So, I am not sure where it came from exactly, but I think I have seen a similar piece at Hobby Lobby. It is a square dowel. You can also see the full tutorial here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/op6tgYVrpLyUptU&lc=UgxYlECi8VcxWZr7NJx4AaABAg

Katie this card is stunning- I like that you can make the 3D effect without the print and cut rather just using the Cricut pens. I was a little confused with all the slicing and extra squares but I worked side by side along with you as I had my Design Space opened, however can you give me the measurements of the 2 pink cards and the 3 white flower cards as it was difficult to understand that part, Thank you for sharing.
@kandfdesignАй бұрын
I am so glad you enjoyed this. ☺I personally like this version better than the print then cut version. I have made a few print then cut versions if you would like to watch those for more information. I did a round one and a square. You could then just replace the printed piece with your own pen version. I think the square sunset print then cut version explains things the best. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmXLnnd4gbR7rLM You can actually make the card any size you want. You just need to make the pen section 0.25 inches smaller than the pink cardstock squares. For this card I made the pen sections 4.75 x 4.75, 3.73 x3.73, and 2.75 x 2.75. I made the pink cardstock sections 5x5, 4x4, and 3x3.

@kandfdesign2 ай бұрын
Thank you so much ☺ I used air dry clay to create this ghost. So, I just left him out for a day till he hardened. I have the link to the specific air dry clay I used in the description if you are interested. I have used polymer clay in other projects, which is the type of clay you need to bake. Typically Polymer clay bakes at 275F for about 30 minutes per 1/4 inch of thickness.

you said you did print n cut on circuit but what is the black behind the design?
@kandfdesign4 ай бұрын
The black is the printing of the design from my printer, then the Cricut machine cut out the rectangle for me. You could cut the rectangle without the Cricut machine. Please let me know if that answers your question.

The Foil Quill looks more vibrant
@kandfdesign4 ай бұрын
Yes I agree, and both my husband and myself liked the foil quill card a little better. I think it depends on the look you want. If you only have the Cricut foil tool, then you could use the bold tip to get this thicker foil.
@sharonkroeker69344 ай бұрын
❤love the end result❤ Could you use an embossing folder to foil? Wondering if it would work without any heat?
@kandfdesign4 ай бұрын
Thank you. I loved it so much, that I just ordered more toner foil. I have not tried it, but that might be fun to try out. I know there is a machine to hot foil with embossing, but I would need to test and look into if just using an embossing folder would give you a nice foil. If you try it before I get around to testing it, please let us know!

Did the wood or plastic medicine bottle etch?
@kandfdesign4 ай бұрын
You will have to watch to find out. You can also check out my post which I made table showing which items etched and which ones did not. kandfdesign.com/will-it-etch/
@stephanieyavorchak71844 ай бұрын
This was great. I like the actual etch better than the Walmart paper. But the paper is good if you want to reuse the item without the etch. I also love that you can etch on colored glass. Thank you for making this video.
@kandfdesign4 ай бұрын
I agree. I like the look of the actual etch better, but I was surprised how nice the etch vinyl looked. I think it will all depend on what you want which would be better. If you want it to be permanent, then go with the etching cream. If you want to be able to change your mind and remove the etching, or your design is very small and/or detailed, then you will want to go with the vinyl. I had a lot of fun making this video. I was very curious about a few of these myself.

Did you see the basket I colored with spray paint? kzbin.info/www/bejne/aH_Fo2WLhpWAjdk I also added a decorative napkin to my basket: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fqawqYyNis2Da7c Happy crafting and let me know if you have any other questions. :)

I found the tray from Target Bullseye section for $1. I then just painted it. You could probably find similar trays at craft stores or Dollar Tree, then just paint or spray paint over them.
