I just missed this, but I wanted to post a Grumpier Old Men style get me to the church on time joke. Please imagine something witty about hummus pulling out a die instead of a ring before reaching into his other pocket.

Outstanding session 0! I love the way you've handled character traits not simply as strength and weakness, but gave the players something to anchor their character's personality on without seeming two dimensional.

I feel like Human Boys character model isn't nearly... mangy enough.

Hahaha yeah human boy is trying to roleplay something less mangy than himself. It only took him devoting his life to the patron god of beauty to look presentable

I believe the shark-cow episode was made on the get go, kudos to the GM in general for the setting and the interpretation. If I understand correctly, the centaurs were dicks though because they didn't say anything about possible dangers in the wood. Also, could you pls explain to me how the rolling system works? The whole "successes / failures" business reminds me of Vampires: the Masquerade, but it doesn't seem quite the same to me. Thank you

We are using the Genesys roleplaying system as a base, which has dice that are based on both success/failure and advantage/disadvantage. The concept being you can succeed, but have something bad happen and vise versa. Also difficulties are set by a dice pool, so there is wiggle room on how difficult an item ends up after the GM or opponent rolls those. The Centaurs had Duke, their local woodward mention the recent troubles of the woods. They didn't go into great detail because Wallaby is the equivalent of a local Witcher and should know the general dangers.

It's helpful to know you have predetermined stats so players know you are not making that up at each roll. B] unaware of that. Cool.
