Not sure I would want to take the drimel and make sparks while hold a carb that had gas in it. But glade it worked out good for you.

I just got a non working bike for 250 a 2023. The statrter relay clicks, and it does nothing more than that. I ordered a new relay... if that doesnt work im gonna order a new starter. The starter is not seized so im not sure if its that. I know how to work on gy6 stuff But this system isnt gy6 So its a learning curve for me.

91 is actually better then 93 because non oxygenated and no ethanol if you want a higher octane get some race gas or av fuel and mix 4 or 5 to 1

I regret having to post that my 149cc piston blew up in less than 20 miles of riding -- aracer ECU+WBM, oil cooler, vented cam cover, etc. I messed up on my tuning map by watching a bit of outdated information on a youtube BBK install video and probably ran my bike too lean A/F for comfort. I put so much time and money into this little project so it really bummed me out to find out why my bike was having issues after the install. I opened up the cylinder head to find a piece of the piston had cracked off the top portion. Lots of sand-grain-textured metal debris on my magnetic oil drain plug. Luckily, no other major damage. Guys, if you want to BBK, know that the risks that people warn you about are very real. If you decide to move forward in modifying this engine, follow the proper procuders TO A TEE. I reached out to David, and he was incredibly prompt with offering me a heavily discounted 149 kit replacement. I'm taking the plunge again to, hopefully, have a successful install that lasts for a decent time. I'll try and report back in a few weeks/months once I've given this 2nd attempt some time to (not)break in!

@@LeviNci203 In my opinion, it's an "issue" to the extent that, because the larger piston has a much higher compression ratio than the stock's, it makes it critical to dial in all aspects of the installation of the big bore kit, as well as the tuning -- most importantly, adjusting the spark angle and air-fuel ratio values to ensure that the bike doesn't run lean and overheat the internals (like mine did). I ended up having success my 2nd time around with the 149BBK, but decided to take it back out after a couple weeks of use to run the stock piston so I can reliably daily my Grom to work. Having additional power felt nice, but I didn't want to deal with the stress of worrying about the internal temps and whatnot. Although having played with the Aracer tuning program, and with DHM's advice, I'm much more confident the 149 BBK can be tamed for daily use. Just keep the higher RPM's in the Air-fuel range of 12.5-12.8 and I imagine the odds of BBK staying healthy and in one piece are more than decent.

All he has to do is make sure his feet aren’t pressuring the bike to go forward, almost like u want to lift ur feet up a little bit the same time you lift the bike so it puts more momentum towards the back and lifts easier

Hey man I just grabbed one of these and a predator 125 for my kids. I’m in AZ it seems like you are as well. I’d love some advice from someone who’s pulled them apart already and experienced working on them. I’m decently mechanical and do most my own maintenance. The 125 is leaking oil and I just like to kinda tear them apart and see how it’s all put together. Any advice for brand new ones? I literally bought them yesterday and picked them up today from the dealer. Thanks man 👍🏻
