Bill Scott made an excellent point. NM Cannabis industry has 1,000 licenses. NM Real Estate industry has 1,000 licences. However, more importantly, the cannabis industry contributes $1 billion to the New Mexico GDP. While the real estate industry contributes $44.3 billion.

Best video Richard! Homes are not to be used for self-promotion by others. Some of the posts are meant to imply that this 'listing' is the digital marketer's own listing and seem like deceptive advertising. Private property means private. The photos in the MLS or the videos in the MLS have been authorized by the seller to be shown publicly, but nothing more unless consent has been given by the listing office or broker. Don't deceive the public by marketing someone else's listing on social media as if it were your own listing.

While I appreciate this review of rules, our listing agreements now include the use of social media in our advertising - we need to work together as an industry to include digital marketing. We hope others will share our listing also - including digitally, or forwarding the MLS sheet to their buyers, but always giving credit to the listing firm and broker who do have the authority to market the property.

Can't believe educated, licensed, trained professionals fall for this. Your Recommendations screen should be STANDARD PRACTICE for when anyone contacts a real estate broker to list a property. If they're not local and/or can't meet at the property they want to sell, you better have a plan of action to find out if they even have authority to sell. If you can't take those steps up front, MOVE ON. Or hand in your license and find another job. This has been my practice and how I was trained since the year 2000. It's 23 years later and you say this is going on all over the US? Wow. Hard to believe people who take the time and effort to get real estate licenses and hang their shingle out to practice a complex business don't already know this, or dodge/ignore what they should be doing, presumably all for a fast capitalist buck. Really gives the profession a black eye.
