The one about how Nick feels so fucking accurate lol😂 But…..in all fairness, if the extent Nick is willing to go is only intense makeouts, that’s completely okay. Like Charlie said, he should never feel pressured or scared to do things he doesn’t want to do. He’s only 16, he’s not ready for sex and that’s okay. I just think it’s so interesting after watching that kissing scene earlier in the episode where he literally grips onto Charlie. That kiss was very different, every time they kiss, it’s literally heart eyes and it’s very loving (they’re so in love). But with that one is much more desperate and needy. I actually really like that because it shows that human emotions are so complex. So maybe earlier in the episode, if they continued kissing, maybe Nick would have been comfortable enough to take it further but in that current moment, late in the episode, he isn’t. And that happens a lot with teenagers and it’s so relatable. Sometimes, you’re acting through lust but in this moment, Nick realises that “hey, actually I’m not ready to take it a step further. I’m fine with just kissing” and I like the fact that someone noticed that. It’s one of the most relatable parts of Heartstopper. The complex emotions that come with being a teenager.

Totally agree with you. Their kissing scenes as season 2 progressed were very different from season 1. You point out the intense kiss….i agree that it was different. It may have also been one of the first times (with Charlie kissing Nick’s neck another) that Nick really felt, well (I don’t know how to say this without it sounding crude) turned on. It’s a great example of them modeling level headed behavior. Nick communicated how he felt when things started to get a little steamy.
