I admire this guy... I have had so many bad experiences with mechanics (all from dealerships that charge $225/hr). Why can't folks be like this guy?

Oil is cheap! Engines are not! It's not that hard! Change it at a Max of 5k! Even if it's 20k oil!
@Wannabearborist21 сағат бұрын

Very interesting. I drove trucks 31 years i never seen a blown turbo cause this. Turbos are subject to blow at any milage however. New or they may go hundreds of thousands of miles ya never know.

Soon as the oil turns slightly black i change it in my duramax. Too expensive to replace and cant trust the shops around me to do anything right. Truly a shame.

I have several 2.7 ecoboost engines in my fleet trucks and in my personal f-150. These engines are very good and seem to be pretty darn reliable compared to other turbocharged engines.

It’s the little things that make a difference between a mechanic and a good mechanic. If you’re a good mechanic, you would do what you would for your own project as for others, using tools like this if it’s at your disposal. Good quality work is hard to come by these days.
