I think I just might be honored to be your second Subscriber! Holy hell what a killer surprise. Each layer of the intro raised my eyebrows a little more. First the drum loop sounding straight-up early OMD (Talking Loud and Clear? Enola Gay?), then the gritty sandpaper sawtooth bassline and accordion (Omnichord?) coming in hard & dirty, then the whack guitar solo and it's really oily reverb! The rising note beginning at 1:55 that morphs into a voice. The organ bridge at 3:03. The texture of every sound is just perfect. Great production, great song! Great video too, very Max Headroom in some ways. Knocking around the streets of LA with a bass guitar in your hands is an experience I am very familiar with as well, although it was usually dark out when I did it :-) EDIT: Oh and PS it turns out we're both friends with Jeff H your old bandmate lmao, really small world!
