Great video man, I avoid track mutes cause I wanted to export song mode to sequence / arranger view and have full flexibility on Daw or controller mode but seeing the freedom of expression rather than clicking and deleting is refreshing. Looking forward to expertimenting tomorrow. Thank you!

Good list i guess..I fail to see why anyone would get upset at some random people on the Internet giving their opinions about samplers.. I mean, since I have samplers and paid for them with my money, I take anyone's views as merely an opinion. One of my friends uses Akai samplers and I do not and we work fine in each other's studio setups. Even if I did want some feedback on gear, I would look at people who recorded many of these records I have first. I do have the Polyend Tracker which will be a legend to those who know how to use it. All my samplers are from different companies because They serve a purpose, provide their own sound, and aside from the Tracker, MY ASR is the KING..

Iv switched to the mpc only thing I don’t like is when I can’t see the wave form of my sample in side my mpc via grid view like u do in fl when arranging a song/sample or time stretch the sample hope akai change that because if they could have so there’s an arrangement view a drum sequence a bit like fl I’ll be dope they should collab with fl

Is there a way to change the playback mode with the clips? I see that all clips start again when triggered. Is it possible it keeps playing when it's not triggered and play it where the playhead's at?

Do NOT buy any Akai MPC products. Terrible build quality. Unintuitive UI and workflow. Glitchy AF. The power connector pin inside my MPC ONE broke after 2 months of careful use. LOOK ELSEWHERE. There are better options.

It is difficult to argue about matters of taste. My personal favorite is the MPC 1000 but currently I have a 500 in everyday use. As you said it's very basic but the portability and size make it pretty much the best tool for my use. I don't like the newer models you compared this to, so I can't find a better option for my own workflow.

Nah its beyond a limiter and comp, there are countless free comps and limiters and even fl studio has theirs but it doesn't what do what this does. I have had this for a month and my mixes have improved greatly. They're nice and clear now, you have to use it from the jump and use this to mix everything in. It's not just one button magic.

Im on the fence with buying this. I have yet to see anyone sample, for example, say 1 or 2 seconds of a piano or bass from a record. And then assign it to the keys, rather than the pads. So you can have the full range of notes/semitones from the record sample. Not from the sound kits that are included. Do you know if this is possible on this machine?

Thanks for the review! I purchased a 2021 of this ROG ASUS G14. Had to download a patch from NI to be able to install native access and download all my software. Everything installed fine, but when I open Maschine 2 it takes me directly to the preferences screen and does not let me exit it. Unless I quit via task manager. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled. Tried to open as admin only still the same. All my other NI apps (traktor pro) etc open just fine…. I’m stumped. Any ideas? I appreciate any feedback! Thank you!

Ok so I got tired of sitting there staring at the preferences screen on the ASUS, so I went through the hardware (maschine mk3) and loaded a kit from faded reels and it popped me right into pad mode and maschine 2 software is up and running…. Strange…. Either way it’s a fix for me. (So far)
