I listened to all those albums. That Future Islands didn't have no dirt. If it was for doing an Electronica remake version of any of those songs is a maybe but nothing funky or soulful on that disk. But Jerry Garcia got some things in it but you gotta listen for it. GILL SCOTT HERRING is automatically a target. But seriously, looping I myself would not do but slice n dice to reinvent it.

Kanye West better Timbaland needs to actually play piano on keys and not use so many samples and no return out just right I can make a replica of that just by hearing how he did this song and do it better than him because I’ve been playing for 25 years in church nothing hard and plus I sing too I will rip it up. Easy easy. I am the type of guy put me in the studio with him with my MPC 61 key for all the sounds. I needed available now tear his behind up in two minutes.

This cant be real. He was listening to the song like he never heard it before. Come on, theres no way you never heard that. It was sampled by Kanye over 20 yrs ago and others sampled it too. And thats the only song he listened to. Thats not Rythm roulette. The next episode with the keyboard player and his son was one of the best.

Sounds like on that drum track you thought sounded different it was layered with two different drums to create that mixture. Good video. Nice finger drum sesssion.

Yeah even when YT first came out and other producers did the rhythm roulette, they listened to each record played the beginning a few parts of the middle and end and sometimes even made a song from two records. His video comes off as an advertisement. I think I agree with you tho. The beat isnt as bad as people are making it out to be. There probably is more that they edited out but maybe the editor thought the process of finding a part boring. And Timbo is not necessarily one to pick the most obvious part of a song and flip it either. His sound selection is pretty different from most people and his drum preferences probably change the parts of a song he wants to work on. But honestly not many people can lay down a decent skeleton in less than 10-15 minutes. And even fewer can lay down a radio-ready song in that time either. Whether they listened before or not. EDIT: Just looked at some old Rhythm Roulettes…some were longer some were way shorter but a lot were around the length of his. So its definitely the editing.

It's absolutely not OK for a man to get a mani pedi. Unless he's in the business of giving ladies mani pedi's and he somehow gives one to himself for marketing/flex purposes. All that aside, I liked the beat. It's basic, but that doesn't make it bad.

I'm skeptical as sh*t that Timbo didn't already know this record back to front. "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" is not exactly an obscure title or vocal and the track he sampled has been remade a few times and sampled before, As a producer of his stature who's definitely old enough to have come across it while digging, it just doesn't add up.
