Best is to check latest prices on marriott.com as the rates differ from season to season. I believe we paid ~INR 18,000 per night.

Couldn't agree more with you, Sir. As you may have heard in the video, the front desk service was also rather terrible for Titanium Elite guests. SF downtown has become terrible, so I'm not sure if this is a Westin-problem or a problem with other hotels too in the area......

Thank you Ashwani for your comment, much appreciated!! It is best to call the hotel directly to confirm since my stay was ~3.5 years ago, but as I remember: they definitely had valet parking and I believe they also had self parking (but can't remember that for certain). Also ask them about street parking, if it's not high season, it may be easy enough to get that (with the caveat that you may not always get the same spot, your spot may be far from the hotel, etc.)

How is the walk to the beach? Is there a pathway? And how long of a walk?
@HotelRooms
@HotelRooms Жыл бұрын
The walk to the beach is VERY convenient/comfortable (barring of course the heat if the weather isn't good). Yes, there's a very convenient pathway. I'd say an easy ~5-10 minutes to hit the start of the beach, and a ~15-20 minutes walk to Pier 60 where the center of action tends to be. I liked the fact that the hotel is far enough from all the action, but at the same time close enough that it's very accessible!

Similarly, what's an acceptable number of iguanas roaming outside your hotel room first thing in the morning? Again, these opinions are all subjective, while I am not fond of them at all, you may enjoy several iguanas crawling on your bed, to each their own.

You're most welcome Alex!! Indeed, this is the BEST suite in the hotel, the Congressional Suite!! Also - if you have status - their lounge is significantly above competition in the DC area. If memory serves, they even gave me complimentary evening appetizers and drink coupons that I could use in their restaurant. Can't complain about the Grand Hyatt Washington DC AT ALL!!

How’d did you guys get down there ? Like if you drive there is it hard to drive your own car down there??
@HotelRooms
@HotelRooms Жыл бұрын
I can't stress enough how hard it would be to drive your own car down there. If you do, be prepared to deal with lots of one way streets, unexpected pedestrians walking on streets, etc. Not to mention, the city seems to love giving out tickets for the slightest of traffic violations. Parking will probably be super expensive (guessing at least $50/night). You're probably best off parking somewhere in New Jersey (Hoboken, Jersey City, Weehawken, etc.) and using public transportation (e.g., PATH trains, the ferry, or good old Lyft) to get to the city. You may want to call the hotel to get their advice, in case some of what I said is outdated and/or inaccurate. Good luck!!

Did you like this better than the Muse? I’m coming to see a broadway show and need to pick something affordable. The good Stuff is way out of my Price range.
@HotelRooms
@HotelRooms 2 жыл бұрын
I'd go with the Muse for two reasons: 1) location will be super convenient for most Broadway shows (AC is basically the southern most point of Manhattan, you'll have to talk a subway or Lyft ride), 2) sleep quality is significantly better at Muse (the mattress at the AC hotel was irritatingly soft, I would literally sink in it, complained about it during and after stay, but they basically didn't want to do anything with this concern)
@HotelRooms
@HotelRooms 2 жыл бұрын
but the Muse is not as cool and slick as the AC, the AC feels brand spanking new and futuristic. Muse definitely feels a bit tired and dated. I'd still say that for the above two reasons, the Muse is the better choice.

Hi Marc-André, depends on how/what you define as "good". If by "good" you meant in a safe neighborhood, yes, I would say it was in a very safe part of town (this was pre-COVID and hopefully COVID hasn't made the area worse). It's just a little bit away from the heart of the action but really not that bad. Prices were relatively cheap. They had a great rooftop bar. Happy to provide more details if you meant something else by "good".......
