I'm American and I like the idea that Russian people like that Americans like their songs, but this is not the only Russian song that I like. I also like the song dark eyes as well as the song, the second waltz by Shostakovich.

Its from a comedy program in russia, i think this version was recorded specifically for the english translation of the show, but im not sure because the episode is in russian and the song is in english. I was gonna say they must've changed the lyrics so that they rhyme in English, cuz there's no was the actual translation of the OG Russian lyrics actually rhyme in English, an this definitely doesn't match up with the translations of the Russian version I've seen in comments
