These two are old friends lol. The skunk is a little bully ha! Poor possum. I have a skunk and a possum that show up at the same time for dinner and they leave together. I've often wondered if they sleep in the same den, they're so respectful and sweet to each other. I've never seen them do this to each other. This was cute though!!

ASMR is stimulation by certain auditory sounds, like hearing these cute little guys eating sounds, and Possums are native to Australia, New Zealand, and China, while opossums live in America and Southern Canada.. The possum has a furry tail, while the opossum has a bare tail. Possums are smaller than opossums. They are both marsupials, but distinct in their own way......hope this helps 😊

We have alot here on north texas this year. Seems like bad Aoril storm brought a bunch of them. Would love to offer nesting boxes for them. Does anyone know the size or plans?

My box is built with 11" wide boards so the floor space is about 110 square inches. The door hole is about 4" tall and 5" wide. The bottom of door hole is about 12" from the floor. The newly hatched baby ducks need something to climb so the can get out of the box as they can't jump the entire 12" in one go. I found similar dimensioned box plans online by searching for "Black-bellied Whistling Duck Nest Box Plans". The bottom of my box is only 7 feet off the ground which makes maintenance safer. I build all my boxes with a latching hinged floor for easy clean out.

There's a larger box across the yard, yet they always choose this one. Incubating the eggs is a one duck duty and the pair takes turns.

Possums might be uglier than homemade sin, but their body temp is too low for rabies to take root. Rabies will kill a human within a week, destroying the brain, unless the infected undergo 6 or so weeks of drug therapy, and like heatstroke, they are not the same person afterwards. This while the true dumpster-pimp, raccoons, come off as cute bandits and are incredibly infected, same with skunks. Skunks though share the same pariah status as possums, due heavily to their scent glands.
