the original song is inverted, by producer travis barker who thought it was better this way, and this is how the best song on the album came out

Damn. I like em both a lot. The Ole's sound really cool as an outro. Though I do think their repetition does suit a chorus better. But both do sound great! Thanks for this!

While sounds awesome this way, the Olés give it that burst after the build-up for a chorus

It sounds good but also wrong. I do like it, but definitely ole ole is way to catchy to not have.

The meaning of Ole Back in Islamic spain Muslims used to say "allah" to everything nice they see it's like say "my god this is beautiful" later Spanish people adopted the term with a change

Came to the comments to say I thought this version was WAY better lol.. Less corny - still gives you some catchy vibes at the end. Surpised everyone feels the opposite! The real version has grown but definitely not in my top 3 off the new record!

Yea it works but it’s definitely better the original way, having just the one set of olé’s at the end and then it just ending makes the song end kinda flat. With the original you have that crescendo at the end that makes it feel like a payoff

Damn!! This is really interesting to hear! I think I like it better this way but I can only imagine how much fun it is in a live setting (especially internationally) to yell "ole ole ole" at the top of your lungs with an entire stadium so I get it!

I think the outro on the official release sounds good. It’s satisfying there, but I don’t think it would be so much as a chorus. My estimation is that the “olé” part maybe should have been more peripheral, with an entirely different set of lyrics written for the chorus. Something in between in terms of simplicity. The chorus that ended up on the song immediately struck me as… idk, off. On the other hand, I don’t think anyone’s gonna forget the olé song. There’s good strategy in that.

only thing we need to do is isolate the vocals and use it alongside the same drum pattern as the orginal chorus and i think we will get a better idea of how it would of sounded

I think the song works perfectly fine with the outro as the chorus (maybe I even like it more than the original), but I don't like the original chorus as the outro, so I understand why they changed it.

I actually like the original better 🤷🏻‍♂️ I feel like the chorus is too wordy now and it’s a nice pay off in the OG when we get there and the Ole is a great simple hook that’s super catchy

As a professional pop punk kid (30 years of experience) the oles are fine. Take the stick out of your butt and stop acting like you have a refined opinion. You’re listening to pop punk after all.

Just doesn't sound right. Barker was right to make the Ole's the main chorus and it makes the final chorus outro absolutely amazing. It's very similar to Feeling This where the song is great, but that final chorus just brings the song to legendary status and you listen to the entire song just to get to it.
@AndrewHarkins

I prefer this arrangement. It makes the Ole's become a nice finishing creshendo rather than a random repeated word throughout the song.
