I'm here after hurricane Ian. I wanted to see the true beauty of this town.

I feel bad, after Ian the island is basically non existent. May take forever to rebuild or recover.

Long history of potentially poisonous municipal water. Many radioactive - cancer, dementia causing elements, toxins and poisons in it they just quit testing for and naming them. Total dissolved solids off the charts. Recently has had hexavalent chromium, molybdenum, strontium, vanadium the same stuffs that killed so many. They put Cr(VI) and others on unregulated list and stopped testing for it and many of the other poisons (aluminum=alzheimer's), arsenic, etc in the water that they do name or test for anymore DRINK/BATHE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Latest big business in area is dialysis and cancer centers. Shame because there's so much $$ in area and they won't provide safe water.

I viewed to see if the blind pass had changed and it has apparently a couple of times. In the 70’s it was a narrow deep strong current pass, then when I went back around 2000 I found it dry, now I see it wider than it was when I was a kid in the 70’s.

Most expensive place in FL after Palm Beach. 10,000 cars a day cross the bridge, bumper to bumper traffic on the one road, only 500 beach parking spots and they cost $5 per hour. Go somewhere else

So the history of Ft Myers originated in the genocide of Seminole Native Americans. How sad. The tour was excellent. You covered all the major aspects, though I wish you had mentioned the work climate, what type of industry (besides sports) it supports, type of jobs out there. And please turn off the music which is really annoying when you have a speaker. Please do a tour of Miami as well. This was very good. Enjoyed the wildlife parks very much!

The last few years before we moved away from Florida, I couldnt stand to hardly go out because of traffic. Bumper to bumper in tourist season. Now, I get out and its like hardly no traffic. Wide open road. I love it. No more crowded restaurants. Small rural town in Ohio. Beautiful change in seasons. Its my kind of life. Naples is a rat race!
@sharoncrawford30424 жыл бұрын
I use to shop in that mall. Lived there 25 yr. Decided to retire in my home state of Ohio. I dont like the beach, heat, or hurricanes. To tropical. I like change of seasons, mountains, hills, and cooler weather.
