Which one do you recommend with a toddler Disney or carnival? I’ve heard Disney is very expensive but I hear that children will love it, but I’ve also heard that carnival is just as good for toddlers around two years old. What would you recommend?

There is a pre-k pass free as long as the kid is under 6. And you have a season pass. If you plan to go more then once

I’m part of a union that sent out a notice regarding the annual pay raise and indicated there would be retroactive pay that would include a couple weeks prior to my maternity leave at 36 weeks. Since EDD calculates pay based on prior wage, how does EDD get notified of this pay bump and can it get applied to the rest of my leave?

I will take time of on my 35th week of pregnancy. Should I get a doctor's note for the 4weeks prior delivery leave? Thank you so much for your help!

Congrats on your pregnancy! You don't need to get a physical note but your doctor will need to provide documentation to EDD to confirm your due date.

It's best to ask your employer! I've heard some gov jobs like public school teaching give alternate benefits in lieu of short term disability.

HI im due in May 2024. After the 6-8 week leave is complete...how would one go about extending leave and still get paid in CA? I haven't been with my employer for a year so i wont be eligible for the 12 week fmla until october once i meet that 12 month requirement

I heard that it is better to file the claim 5 weeks before the due date, because there is one week waiting period and they don’t pay for the first week. Is that true?

Correct there is a 1 week waiting period without pay but you need to wait until your first day of leave from work to file.

Or they pay me for 4 weeks but with a one-week delay? Why some people says it is better to apply 5 weeks before due date?if I take the leave 5 weeks before due date, CA only pays me for 4weeks?right? I am confused
