Considering what Wendy Carlos did to get the synthesiser recognised as a serious musical instrument and not just some sci-fi effect, she should be mentioned more often in music history.

I think arguably this film despite it being an action caper, this has got to be one of the most defined films that Sean Connery has done since his time as James Bond, pretty much in a sense broke that mold that despite being Bond, he showed his acting and aura can be put in other films with the right cast and the right script

This is one of those rare movies/music scores that 40 years on, doesn't look or sound completely "disco" and lame to where i say to myself as a Gen X'er "Oh my god i cant believe i liked that!" This was also my first R rated movie and i remember my sperm donor dad telling me i shouldn't be watching this part (Referring to that "Silly twit out in Encino... son i had 20 years in this service when your idea of a good time was sitting in front of the tube, watching bugs bunny, and knawing on your fudge sickle" RIP Warren Oates, Roy Schieder and anyone else associated with the making of this amazing, fun film!!!

There are a few certain movies that touched me in some beautiful melancholic way yet at the same time in a tearing longing feeling one. Indeniably evoking the certainty that this place here I incarnated to is not my Home. Those movies that come to my Mind are Barry Lyndon (1975), Contempt (from 1964 with Brigitte Bardot), Aguirre (from Werner Herzog), Flowers In The Attic (from the novel of V.C. Andrews, 1988).

I tried to search for this beautiful song on vinyl but with no success. Tried Discogs and Ebay i dont think that Christopher Young released an Lp verison? If anyone knows please let me know. I love my vinyl, and this song is beautiful, nostalgic, to say the least.

this music and the incredible production design of this film can more than compensate for the stupid story and dialogue. i have rewatched many times one of the best looking and best sounding movies ever. as with all of carlos’ music it is complex and strange yet very melodic and original.

I am at a loss : I can recall a Walter Carlos single "Theme from a clockwork Orange, quite different as the ones currently available. It actualle had a ticking clock in the background and ended with the sound of a rainstorm. I can't find it anywhere! Someone here knows ?

Carlos made like two different "remix" albums of Clockwork Orange so maybe look into those but it's incredibly hard to find stuff unless you find a way to purchase directly.

Even when they weren't the big budget pictures James Horner scored later in his career. he was able create some wondrous film scores like this. What remarkable gifted individual he was, Horner and his music will be remembered and he is missed dearly.
