I’ve gone through one term so far, so based on that i’d say time management and discipline are the absolute most important. Making sure that you are truly setting aside that time to work on the course material. Also, any additional resources that are recommended should absolutely be reviewed. There were questions on the previous OAs that were covered in additional resources but not so much in the actual course material. I wish you the best! ❤️

Thank you for sharing your journey at WGU. I was laid off as a project manager in a tech company, I am self-taught and I'd like to get my BS in Computer Science to be a little more official for job hunting, so I think our situations are a bit similar! I'm on the fence about WGU because it seems so self-directed . Are the materials provided in the class enough? Do you have to spend a lot of time looking for udemy classes or linkedin learning to supplement the course materials?

Thanks for watching! Tech layoffs have been rampant and I too started at WGU a few months ago after a layoff last year. WGU is self directed and I am noticing as i’m going through the programming classes that those require third party resources in order to get a full view and understanding of the topics and content. There were things i saw on the OA that i don’t think were thoroughly covered in the lessons alone. So Linkedin learning courses have been great as an additional supplement. They do include these memberships free as part of tuition.

I was undecided between attending WGU, Capella U or UMPI and at the end UMPI work best for me, UMPI has the YOURPACE program and it's similar to the Competency Based Program that WGU and Capella have... 🙂🙂🙂

I did the same thing about 10 years ago with a washer that I got from Walmart online to wash my three boys clothes and then I would just take it downstairs to the apartment dryers. You could also get a clothes drying rack or hang some line in your living room and close pin it the old-fashioned way to dry. Super helpful!

@@Sams-explorations Yes my washer was a little different. It was a regular old fashioned washer just in mini form. I bought it online from Walmart for around $300 and it was so worth it. A drying rack definitely helps or you could purchase a mini portable dryer too 👍🏼💕

I am thinking of getting a washer like yours. Do you find it gets the soap rinsed out well with one rinse if you don’t use too much soap, or do you find you have to rinse more than once? Thanks for the video!

As long as you don’t overfill the machine with clothes and you don’t use too much soap, the rinse usually gets all the soap out.

I feel like you don’t need to use nearly as much as you’d use in a regular washer. Maybe even a quarter of what you’d normally use would be fine.

Your suppose to be able to drain the rinse water and put it on spin cycle in the wash bin.

This is a manual washer so these parts have to be done manually by putting clothes in the spin to spin the water out then returning them to the basin for the rinse cycle.

It did come with one hose but i find it easier to fill up manually with a bucket with the way i have it set up in my bathroom.

Ty for posting this!! I got mine on fb marketplace, used once so it was basically new. The belt under the washer half needed some lubricant since it had been a bit dusty in storage. Hoping I can get to stop squeeking lol. The instructions I could find online were p vague for water level and amount of clothes but this is a really good example.

They have to sell it off from Bytedance or shut down. Ppl have a right to be concerned when those are the two options. at any point, it could theoretically shut down..however Tiktok CEO did say they would fight the ruling so that will likely draw out the process..

17:46 I disagree on this. Starting a business is a gamble. If they’ve only put it in TikTok, they show poor capability to project themselves in the future. If they never have advertised their products on instagram, facebook, Snapchat, anything! They’re at fault for being bad business owners. If you base your whole company on a site you don’t own? Not having any other backup? You’re just not fit for business!

starting a businesses anywhere is a gamble. but the point is that this platform and the algorithm connects ppl at a more rapid pace over further reach than any of the other platforms. of course they likely are starting mailing lists to make sure they capture customer info but that doesn’t mean Tiktok going away isn’t going to destroy their businesses if that’s how they get customers and can keep expenses low by not having to advertise for the same level of reach..

4:09 china doesn’t have real free speech so hearing the owner of TikTok claiming “it’s infringing on your rights” is funny. 11:13 bro said “it’s owned by china but most investors are Americans” and thinks it makes it better? It just means Americans give money to the company to get shares afterwards. TikTok has been proven to have been a trigger to fake mental illnesses symptoms. Doctors now have to ask the amount of screen time people use TikTok before diagnosing in mild mental disorders! I would go on and on but my phone isn’t keeping up with my text.

Banning TikTok is not banning free speech. There are plenty of other places you can speak freely so to speak. It is not infringing on our rights to ban TikTok. That’s how ridiculous this generation is that it thinks it’s an American right to have TikTok. Banning TikTok does not stop your free speech. Is there nowhere else you’re allowed to talk unless you can talk on TikTok?

within the last 3 years i’ve seen shadow banning occur across YT, instagram, Facebook regarding certain topics that were of importance during the height of the pandemic. That opened my eyes to the fact that free speech is being threatened. Not saying that Tiktok is the end all be all but saying that it’s one of the few platforms where they were able to censor people’s voices..
