Do not misunderstand him.He said "christians" go to Jesus on death(real believers).As for none believers,he said they go to hades.Hell is not the final place. In one part of it the believers get their Rest and in another part of hell unbelievers wait for judgement in a lawless place.After judgement then comes for unbelievers the real "Hell"-Damnation,The lake of fire where the devil is also headed.Even Jesus was in that part of hell called paradise.(today you will be with me in paradise,and David even said,You did not leave your Holy One in hell.That is the good side and the other side is the hades,the pit,the lawless place )
