The choreographer is the Brazilian , Sergio Reis. There are some moviments from CAPOEIRA, a kind of martial art. Jimim’s knowledge of martial arts and dancing provides this combo that delights us.

During his film making of his dancing part in the Black Swan MV, he literally examined the film and repeated it until he was satisfied. A perfectionist.

I think my favorite piece of watching Jimin dance is how he connects everything….. he’s almost constantly moving so it always just seems to flow so naturally from one move or blocking to the next

If you connect the choreo to the music, the part that you call "wild abandon" and "release" (caught in a lie) is the switch from a foreboding minor key to a brighter major key. It's an interesting choice to make that part a major key -- like the music itself is lying.
