Quite the tightrope to walk, to pay attention to hypnogogia but not too closely that it fades, but enough that you don’t drift into non-lucid sleep..! Currently trying to find something that works for me to keep in that window. Great videos going through this book!

Yeah it is certainly a tricky thing to balance. If you're not already doing it, having a typical waking life mindfulness/meditation practice can help tremendously. If you want a free trial of the Waking Up app, I can send you a link. Also if you're into mediation devices the Loom light by Lightbath is relatively cheap and I've found it to be very helpful with hypnagogic work.

I explored last night - I saw a fountain and decided that I wanted to walk on water. My feet got wet and water felt squishy but it worked. I've been noticing hypnagogia more. It seems like the scenes are something apart from my normal experience vs. scenes sort of like real life, guess I need to work at observing them more.

I know how to access my third eye and when going through the First tape/video-after doing the copying sounds which sounded little creepy-I could see these beings that were scary-one creepy monster was sitting at like an old school desk -I remember saying out loud “I don’t acknowledge you “ and I have never experienced different scary beings -I could just see them -and they weren’t from any movie I have ever seen-but I stopped listening and wanted to see what others experienced -I’m questioning was my frequency low and I was vibrating at their level -

Hi. When i was around 14-15 i was absolutely fantastic at lucid dreaming, i was having lucid dreams every. single. night. sometimes even 2 a night. The reason for my desire of lucidity was purely escapism. I hated school as a kid and every day was so mundane i wanted to escape, so i did. I went very overboard with lucid dreaming i dedicated every single thought and waking second to lucid dreaming. Looking back, especially at a young age, i should have definitely approached it in more of a healthier, sane way. I felt i was spiralling into solipsism and on the cusp of insanity. I found it pretty difficult to tell reality from dream, on top of this, i would have hyper-realistic false awakenings every now and then which tripped me out. -- im 18 now, and am getting back into lucid dreaming. I used to watch your channel as a kid and enjoyed learning from you and listening to you. Your videos always re-ignite my love for lucid dreaming. 🖤🖤 Peace.

Years ago I was dreaming. I was in the north side of Chicago somewhere. I was at a busy corner. So many people walking around like in real life in Chicago. Their was this revolving door into a store on the corner. I realized I was dreaming. I was like holy crap I'm dreaming. It was such a beautiful day. And then it came to me. I wanted to ask that question! Kinda wanting to have a conversation with a dream person. Aka my subconscious. So I saw some guy walking into revolving door "How does it feel to be not real? Just a character in my dream! I know I'm dreaming! He turned to look at me. Not saying anything. Then I looked as everyone around just all stopped walking and everyone just turned and Looked at me! And before I could react? I woke up immediately. Everyone in my dream it seemed was like " How the heck does he know!" LOL.
@LucidExplorers
@LucidExplorers 20 сағат бұрын
Lol yeah that seems to be how dream characters tend to react for most people. Haha I guess I just lucked out that mine are generally cool with it. I love this guy. I have done everything in lucid dreaming that he said he’s done and more. however, he has educated me on a few things to change. I’ve often looked at myself in the mirror and seen a different person other times I’ve seen myself very odd. Flying in dreams I’ve always found it difficult. I don’t really enjoy doing it either however I did enjoy flying and dreams when I was a little kid.

Can you please Make a video talking about Michael Radugas new lucid dreaming mask he just released called LucidMe remspace? It’s AI powered and claims to be “the first mask that helps you get into lucid dreams using AI and three methods at once: - helps you stay conscious as you fall asleep - tracks REM sleep to send clues straight into your dreams - gives you instructions at the moment of awakening, when it is easiest to return to sleep and enter a lucid dream.” Not only that but it has technology to help you fall asleep faster, help you meditate, and even wakes you up and asks you to change positions if you’re snoring. And by 2025 they plan to be able to “Registering your speech in lucid dreams (in Remmio language) Recording melodies from lucid dreams and saving them Controlling virtual avatars from lucid dreams Communicating with other people within lucid dreams Connecting to your smart home and other devices” It’s very intriguing! It’s available for pre order for $130 and I’m very curious to see your take on the mask, if you’d get it if you’d recommend it et

Really enjoyed your analysis. Bruce's theory seems to overcomplicate what lucid dreaming actually is - it's simply becoming conscious during natural sleep transitions, particularly REM sleep. The vivid experiences and energy boost happen because our mental filters are naturally reduced during these states, allowing imagination to flow more freely. While it's fascinating, we don't need mystical explanations - it's just becoming aware of how our consciousness naturally functions during sleep. Great breakdown of an interesting theory!

Yeah I've noticed they tend to come and go in bunches for me as well. Like I'll go a month and only have 1 and then all of sudden I'll have like 5 in a week. You’ve said previously that you enter hypnogogia when you first go to sleep - do you do that because your goal is not to lucid dream but to specifically explore just hypnogogia? Or do you find success lucid dreaming from going to sleep through hypnogogia?
@LucidExplorers
@LucidExplorers 16 күн бұрын
Good question! I primarily do it just to explore and play in hypnagogia. That and it is part of my typical going to sleep process now. If I happen to slip into REM and have a WILD then that is just icing on the cake. That generally only happens tho when I'm super sleep deprived
@rubyhastwell5022
@rubyhastwell5022 16 күн бұрын
@ Good answer! It’s fun to just be in the hypnogogic state - I do the same a lot. I tend to wake up most nights once at about 2-3, not sure why. At the moment I’m trying to practice being just awake (but not too awake) enough to actually have a WILD instead of just going back to sleep and having vivid dreams. It’s a great world of dreaming and lucidity to learn about and try things with.

I can stay aware/awake into hypnagogic imagery and sit with that, but 90% of the time fall asleep before watching the hypnagogic visuals turn into a dream. I think it is just practice staying aware in that deep meditative state.
@LucidExplorers
@LucidExplorers 16 күн бұрын
yeah practice plays a big role but another crucial part of it is when you do it. If you're doing it when you're initially falling asleep like I do you typically won't transition into REM so it won't woke. Try doing it in combination with WBTB (Wake Back to Bed) and you'll have a way higher success rate
