Is it at 4:08 - 4:10 that he makes the move? When he puts the deck on the table? I am a terrible at catching stuff, but I need to know the moment. I have watched this many times and it is so well done that it is almost impossible to catch. It looks like as he flips the cards to show the names he puts the one at the top?

Your heart had to have been pounding there. "They had to have seen it...", must have been your thought process. I saw that smile when they went down the wrong path with the word choices. Technically, you gave Allison a free choice to use Teller's response. Maybe you could have spelled "silence" or something, they thought. Very smooth trick, right under both of their noses. Great job!

I'm going to be completely honest... I didn't even catch that any trick was done. So when the routine ended and everyone was clapping, I was confused because I didn't think anything actually happened. I went back to watch a 2nd time and understood what was supposed to happen and then I saw on my 3rd watch how it was done. What mainly confused me was how disjointed everything felt. From Pavlovian bell ringing to picking words and counting letters... it didn't feel like a natural progression at all. Like what did Pavlov have to do with the trick at all? What was the significance of gathering those specific words from Penn? There just didn't seem to be any real logical thread at all. It was like reading a story that starts off "Once upon a time there was a princess." And then on the next page it goes "And then the child graduated at the top of their class. The end." Like.. was there even a story there? Why did it suddenly end? What even happened? - Essentially my feelings on this routine.

I actually liked this more once I figured out how it was done. *SO* clean and smooth. Not "hard" or flashy sleight of hand, but nevertheless a masterful card trick. One of the purest magic tricks I've seen. I was 100% fooled in the same way Penn and Teller were the first time I saw it. Anybody who has done magic has used this method for something and yet two of the greatest magicians of all time still didn't pick it up a couple of feet from their eyeballs.

Wow thats clever. Here is the "coded" solution: Some of those names were upside down. Here is the uncoded explanation: He flipped the deck over at 4:10 the deck has some cards facing the wrong way on the bottom side. The bottom card has his name on it. It is irrelevant what words they choose.

I love how the simpler things fool Penn & Teller, by just adding an extra element, and they over guess, and get stuck on one piece. Like the Asi Wind card trick, which had him tear up a paper carousel, and the actual trick was 3 other decks in a wooden box that was taken of stage. At least according to irehman7. Or the Ring (with additional prop;) by Garrett Thomas.

You had me convinced a giant penny was rubbery and then made it dissappear by I think just putting it on top of your head 😂 like 30 years ago in your basement. As a kid I knew you were an awesome magician, this is incredible and not surprising to me in the least. I am late but congrats to you good sir.

Very clever (and creative and powerful) to do the trick in such a way that they didn’t know what to look for. It’s more difficult to try to recreate after the fact. A lot of times magicians make known what they’re doing, but here it was “ What’s going to happen?”
