Nutty crafter can you please explain what you mean by "tying off stitches" at 2:08 i know theres alot of comments so you might not get this thanks!
@NuttyCrafter
@NuttyCrafter 8 күн бұрын
'Tying off' means securing the stitch, so that the thread stays in place after you cut off the excess. You can learn more about it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpSclX-Pp8ZnadEsi=9cFZ3mv6T4DdjgXL

Am I always supposed to double my thread like that when sewing? 😂 Have I been doing it wrong my entire life??
@NuttyCrafter
@NuttyCrafter 8 күн бұрын
It depends on how strong you want the stitch to be. A single thread is strong enough for most projects 😊

This helped so much! I washed my boyfriends new work tie since it had a grease stain and it loosened the stitching at the end and I felt so bad I needed to learn how to fix it

Yes, but how do you determine how much thread is needed🤔
@NuttyCrafter
@NuttyCrafter 2 ай бұрын
I usually start with around 30-60cm and then start a new piece when the thread runs out 😊 If you make the thread too long, it can get tangled and make it difficult to sew

Hi, would I be able to do this method to make a vest top fit under the armpits? I’m having to buy bigger clothes to fit my stomach. Unfortunately I look 11 months pregnant. I feel ashamed in how my clothes look on me.
