Thank you for the video! Also is ranger build exclusive? or can you mix it with other builds (thorn)? And how do you get different items? I havent gotten any variatons on my weapons at all for last couple of runs

Good video but you need to enunciate a little more clearly. It was really hard to understand what words you were saying sometimes.

This guide (and your backpack battles guides) are so good but you really need to go harder on the clickbait - feel like this video could have 10x more views if you put "RANK 1 MECHABELLUM BUILD" - you're WAY too good to not abuse the KZbin system!

Heya, thanks and i'm glad you enjoy the video! I really hate clickbait stuff so not gonna happen for me if I can prevent it. Not interested in abusing anything like that or being misleading to get ahead.

Thanks for making this video. You skipped over talking about range enhancement on mustangs. Is it usyally upgrade #2 after high explosive? If my opponent has a mix of ground/air, should i pick that over aerial specializarion, even if the air units are giving me a hard time?

I've been starving for this kind of well thought out and exhaustive explanation for how Mechabellum plays out. Easily the best guide on the game I've come across. Thank you for your time spent.

Thanks for the awesome guide, it's absolutely dense with useful info and I've had great success using this comp after watching, currently on something like 18-7 (although in way lower mmr brackets than you :)). The biggest headaches are hackers and incendiary vulcans, if they don't get taken out fast enough they can ruin the day completely. I found most success in dealing with those (and other annoying giant units like launcher overload fortress or armored overlords) by having 5-6 marksman with a couple of levels and elite/doubleshot, but it's not completely consistent. Looking forward to your upcoming content!

I watched this video, and then watched it again on stream today. This is SUCH good content. Thanks for taking the time to compile it.

Great guide. Can't wait for more. I'd love to see some gameplay footage added to the start instead of staring at the unit modification screen. Maybe somehow also released a 5-10 minute quick guide along side the more in depth videos too? Super hard to leave in enough relevant info I'm sure, but it might be nice for when someone just wants a crash course. I know I personally got the most out of the positioning section of this video, and the rest just helped flesh out the nuances of the build.

Fantastic video! Ball/Stang is my favorite core, but I was always iffy on positioning. One question: You skipped over talking about the tank assembly item. Is that any good if you're already fielding overlords? I know sledgehammers aren't part of this comp, but is it worth it as extra distraction units? (especially if the Overlord is already producing Wasps too) Also, you didn't talk about the Rhino starter specialist. I'm guessing better than giant/air/elite but probably not as good as the econ specialists?

Good questions - Tank assembly - great item but poor on overlords with un-teched tanks since the tanks are slower than the rest of the board. Perfectly fine to take if you're winning and want to close out the game with as much hp damage as possible since these are very likely to be alive at the end of the fight and deal player health damage as if they were regular units. Rhino Spec - Didn't realize I didn't mention this one although talking about it is a bit more complex than the rest. Offers a lot of flexibility (since you can just sell it) and threat but isn't something I tend to really prefer with ball mustang since it further incentivizes your opponent to go hacker and I also think that winning turn1/2/3 with your balls/stangs to snowball them is very important which the rhino doesn't help with in any capacity other than potentially tanking for you on turn 3+. Also has a lot of dependence on items if you want to keep the rhino which is once again an issue since at least for the way I play the board, itemizing and snowballing the steel balls is top priority. Overall I would never be unhappy to have rhino spec but it does have some core issues with how it interacts with this board in particular that i think make it less appealing than in most boards

You're talking about 00:50 - 01:27 right? I accidentally messed up the volume in that clip right before publishing (oops), not sure how it ended up so much quieter than the rest. All the rest of the video should be appropriate volume. EDIT: Just decided to remove that part since the volume is so much lower, i'll just add that section to the timestamps in the description instead.

Got a question if you don't mind. At 3:25 you managed to survive that hit which usually one-shot me unless I sleep him, can I ask how you did it? Is there a safe spot behind him?

@@ahmedimad2322 The little ethers called 'Phantom Jewel' that drop throughout the fight give a 10 second invulnerability, in Trixion they spawn randomly but in the real fight they're tied to your teamates killing a certain amount of the minions in the outside fight. Thats how I survived the oneshot :) you can also timestop it
