Hey Nana thanks so much for the shout outs and the love! 🙏 I do have some ideas coming in regards to Squash strings and tensions to make some future videos on :) I have decided on the V2 125NS, since prior using the Evolution before this I have taken a liking to thinner grips and this is a happy medium for me. My racket is starting to get a little bit exposed at the top area from wall scraps and dings, but it's still holding up great 😎

Hey Ken Anytime 🙏🏾 How do you find the V2 compared to the V1?
@TactileRacquetPerformance13 күн бұрын
Love it so much more! Initially transitioning from the Airshaft to the V1, I did not like it. I stuck with it and gave it a bit of time and I finally adjusted to it, but it still just felt very stiff to me, the overall balance was more head heavier than the Airshaft too. On V2, all of these things are addressed. It feels like how a Carboflex should feel again 😁👌

Do you feel any vibration with the V2? I use to be a fan of Tecnifibre and still have a 125S. I've played with the X-Top and find that the vibrations that you feel are terrible. Thought it was that particular racket, I borrowed a few others and still feel the vibrations. I changed to the Head Speed 135 slim body and no vibrations at all. Other players in my club have also said the same thing about the X-Top.

This is my all time favorite racquet! Don’t buy the green Vibe it is as flexible as a 2x4 with totally different characteristics. There is a big (and for many a no go) flaw however in the racquet that actually gives it the flex properties. It will eventually crack where the fork meets the shaft but it is all worth it imho. I still love the racquet because few racquets have this wonderful flex. It’s a manufacturing /design flaw but I love the racquet and the green version is awful comparatively. Wished I could get as many racquets as Gawad gets ;-)

I have played with many different racquets…last was Head SB Radical (closed throat) it’s great but it is not like the Vibe Gawad which is for me the perfect extension of my hand. I am a technical player coming from competitive badminton (doubles specialist) where precision and sensitivity to racquet characteristics is felt. This is truly a gem of a racquet in the squash arena. I think if I could not play with the Vibe I would probably go for the Dunlop which Elias is playing with which is 500sqi. Excited for you Nana! This is Ken from the US, this is my Racket stringing channel :) I would recommend trying 24 or 25lbs to start with when you restring with 305 1.10. That string is very thin so it don't need to be pulled as high as thicker 18g or 17g strings. That should be a happy medium for good power from the stringbed, but still good control. If your stringer's machine has ability to do .5lbs increments, you can even try a happy medium of that, and ask 24.5lbs. Been loving my NS V2! Cheers 🤙

Hey Bernard I would put it up there with the Harrow Vibe Gawad in terms of maneuverability and all round game play but it's very light. The Carboflex V2 120g does everything this one does, with a little bit more weight. Before trying the V2, this would probably be my 2nd best teardrop recommendation (only based on my preference). 1. Is still the Airshaft NS but after a week or 2, that might change because of the V2 2. Karakal Joel Makin. 3. Head Speed SB 120. Haven't video reviewed one because I couldn't take it home for the video but that's a really nice racket as well.

It's a hustle in South Africa. 1. Start with what you have, do a review and publish it on KZbin. 2. Show your friends and ask to use their rackets for a review, get better at making the videos and providing information. 3. Once you get traction, you can use the videos to ask manufacturers or racket shops to assist in either sending you demos or discounts...maybe a partnership (doesn't really happen in SA). 4. Sell your old rackets on Facebook Marketplace/Gumtree to fund the discounted purchase on new rackets. 5. Look for other rackets to buy and sell on Marketplace as well to make a small profit. Right away I was staring at Marwan's racquet yesterday during the broadcast when it showed him practicing. I agree, it's highly unlikely the 'Bagy Bros would want to go back to something with an X-Top given they finished the last few months of last season back on Airshaft. This is unless, Tecnifibre got this feedback that 90% of their top pros didn't like the X-Top, and stopped using them in competition (Gohar, Hamammy before she left to Head, the Bagy Bros, only one left in the top using is Sherbini), and therefore went back to the drawing board, and this new Carboflex range is a "Gen2" X-Top, that is like you were alluding to in your video, perhaps more lighter, not so stiff, etc... and the Bagy Bros have the new ones now and are trying them out right now, but still too early to tell if they would like them fully or not. As a Manufacturer, I am wondering if they will ever revert back to making racquets without the X-Top Technology, or if it is now going to be a staple. It seemed to be such a cool new and fresh technology advancement in squash racquets when it first came out, but then to only to have their top pros not end up liking it, and going back to older racquet tech, seems like a shot in the foot if they are going to make new racquets without it going forward. Regardless, I am going to be watching like a hawk for updates. Hopefully Tecnifibre will tease something soon since the 2024-2025 season is now officially started.

Fully agree with you. Mo Elshorbagy 100% played with an all white Carboflex today, which either means they have added a bumper or have gone with the Slash X Top colour scheme. I even forgot that Hamammy left for Head, that’s a great point to add. I think even Soliman used the Airshaft NS, so the racket wasn’t adopted by the pros as much. They must be announcing something end of this month 🙏🏾 but let’s see.

Have you put it on the scales ? What’s the overall weight ?

interesting you say it's head light. I understood all Harrow rackets have head heavy balance points of 360mm plus, so was always wondering how they actually felt in the hand combined with the low overall weight.

I think with the stock standard factory grip, which comes in super thin, you could say head heavy....plus the 1.25mm string...but after regripping it, I would say even/head light. But it isn't weighted in the head like the Revelation Pro (Ali Farag)

Thanks for the video. The Racket looks great, cant wait to know your opinion once you take it on court. Have you tried the Harrow Reflex (Tarek Momen's Racket), any opinions on it and how it compares to Gawad's ?

Hey @Tobbala Not too many Harrow rackets around my area and they don't send me rackets to try, I have to buy them so I am not confident I will be able to test one out very soon. I do know it's very different in shape and weight so they should be worlds apart and they will play differently.

Sorry, I just wouldn't play with that racket. So I would not purchase it just for a review.
