Why isn’t everything charred? Why are trees still standing ? And leaves, grass and bushes still green? Fires?
@babybrat29582 жыл бұрын
These homes burned with absolutely no intervention. When left to burn….especially with wind….structures will. Burn down to foundation. Green vegetation immediately next to incinerated structures is not unusual for a wildland urban interface fire.. There are many other historical fires that have done exactly the same thing: Bel-Air Fire 1961, Laguna fire 1970, Oakland hills firestorm 1991, Laguna Beach fire 1993, Cedar fire 2003…..just to name a few of them.

The cause of the fires is well known. PG&E power lines which were rated to handle winds well over hurricane force simply weren't up to the job. Without an ignition source there is no fire.

Right but the Tubbs fire was started on private power lines not controlled by PG&E

@jdgoodwin3252 жыл бұрын
@@robsalisbury2550 The jury determined the principle of "inverse condemnation" was applicable because PG&E is an investor-owned utility regulated by the state. Inverse condemnation is a legal principle that allows a public entity to be held liable for damage caused by its equipment, even if it was not negligent. The state court decided that PG&E was negligent in maintaining its equipment or vegetation around power lines and that negligence was a factor in causing the Tubbs Fire. To my knowledge, PG&E did not appeal this decision. You should have informed PG&E's attorneys that you have compelling evidence that could have saved them billions of dollars. The question I have is: why did you keep that knowledge to yourself and allow this investor-owned utility to be on the hook for $6.2 billion? If your statement is true, then perhaps PG&E could file a lawsuit against YOU for withholding this important and special knowledge.

Beautifully done. This is one video I haven't seen. There was a time back in early to mid 2018 when I was obsessed with watching the videos. It was a way for me of coming to terms with things so I could move on and not allow this disaster to consume me. I have grown stronger and more compassionate and caring. I believe this community has grown stronger and caring toward one another.... how long will that last? The outpouring of this community toward Ventura a couple of months after our fires, then Redding, Mendocino and now Butte county Paradise area shows that humankind is just that.... kind caring and respectful. Under all the crap we see on TV and in the news... under all that is a whole lot of very caring beautiful people willing to step forward to help others... paying it forward. This is what spirituality and community is all about. Time to take another walk through Coffey Park to regain strength to keep moving forward.

Its not an oven with one common temperature. The wooden fence and leaves in the street were clearly at the edge of the burn area and away from the destroyed house by quite a bit. The problem with looking at these videos is that you lose orientation and its like looking through a keyhole. You armchair fire investigators blame lasers and microwave weapons, but you were never in Coffey Park actually there with boots on the ground. I was. My interest was in Area 1 by Miller, Crestview, and Skyview Dr. A guy on Skyview Drive saved maybe 8 homes on his side of the street by hosing off one neighbors yard and bushes as well as his own. He refused to leave. The wind direction Northeast to Southwest actually helped him. If lasers and microwaves did this, why did 3500 people escape unharmed? 5 people in 1500 destroyed homes died. Where are all of the microwave skin burns and retina damage? How do lasers go through the thick smoke that was blowing through? Why weren't vehicle electronics or cell phones destroyed by microwaves? Because this event was a firestorm driven by winds that did this damage.

How the people escape or did most die
@kimmer65 жыл бұрын
1500 homes burned, 5 people died in Coffey Park. About 3500 escaped. Everybody living there has at least 2-3 cars and they took the daily use one to escape. Coffey Park is well under way a year later to being rebuilt with new homes and many residents are returning.

Hey what kind of iPad is that and is it good for the mavic?
@sonomabydrone39026 жыл бұрын
Hello Sir, I use an Ipad with Cellular, although cellular is not necessary. I just prefer that way. Also, yes it helps me a lot for cinematic filming and photography because the screen is 3 times bigger than a regular phone. Also, please note, because of the setup and size it becomes a little bit clunky to move around. But overall I love using the ipad over the iphone.

1.When you hit the cancel button does it just stop and hover? 2. Are you carrying the controller with you on all the videos,even bicycle?
@sonomabydrone39026 жыл бұрын
Hello Rick Dynesius... (1) Yes it stops and hovers and (2) it is NOT necessary to have the control with you. Active track features follow the subject that is on the "screen". Please dont be confused with the "FOLLOW ME" feature which the Mavic follows the control. That is another feature which is not covered on the Active track series. Thank you for the comment :)

Do you find it risky using these modes while not being in direct control...You say don't panic and hit cancel, but if you don't have the controller in your hands...What can you do?
@sonomabydrone39026 жыл бұрын
Hello xbpbat21x, thank you for commenting. YES, highly risky if you dont have the control in your hand. What I have learned to do when not having the control in my hand is to "rehearse" or plan the shot ahead of time. If you can see, the video at 5:19, going through the trees, was well planned just in case of anything :) Just a suggestion, try as much as possible to have control at your hand at all times

How are the streets and walkways so clean, free of debris an unscathed? 70 mph winds? overturned vehicles and no debris in the streets or pathways?
@sonomabydrone39026 жыл бұрын
drew jenn, thank you for the comment. The video was shot over a month the fires took place. cleanups began weeks ago by the time already. I dont believe vehicles were flipped over because it may take more than winds for that. I am no an expert, but I think that in tight neighborhoods would not be possible to flip a vehicle with just gust of wind like that... anyways, glad that time is long gone by now. Tons of people are still struggling after loosing all their belongings.
@RealLifeFinance6 жыл бұрын
Doesn't look like a crazy scary windy fire does it?
@EddeLaw5 жыл бұрын
I know this might be hard to believe but we actually kept her neighborhood clean. Besides, heavy winds and extreme heat burned up all the debris. And the roads were not clean it may look that way in the photos but if you were there you would have seen the debris. Just like the rest of us.
