This shoe is being so disrespected right now. Mine are currently on the way. I figured it would be better to cop them now before the 85 high bred release. I want those too, but I know they’ll be damn near impossible to cop for retail.

Am i the only one who likes these over the lost and founds in terms of the history but story and creativity lost and founds are better 100%. But Weve had chicagos retrod but we never have gotten the pe/sample of the black toe 1 before: this also shouldve also been lost and found imo. Story: jb never released these because they lost all the stock during shipping. And was found in a warehouse years later. And thats why they released the one we all know. And now the found samples are being released.

You hit on it perfectly. I wanted these so badly last yr. I was teady to double up. Once they got delayed and buried amongst so many other releases, im far less interested in these. Might pickup a single pair if at all. Nike dropped ball on the release of this one.

Dope shoe. I have the lows. Had these dropped last October when they were supposed to, it would’ve been a cop. Now, these are just a consolation prize for everyone who takes Ls on the Bred 1s (which is most likely all of us). Which is exactly why they’re dropping the day after the Breds 😆. I’m good on these though. Breds or nothing for me.

I have wanted these since they first showed pics last year. I find 1s comfortable, never had a problem with them. I don't own the L&Fs. The pair that I did win, I gave to a friend, not my look.

5s are my favorite!!! Great video. I've always wanted the reverse Bel-Airs. I just refuse to pay over retail. The prices aren't high at all for my 6.5 anyways. Dunk on Mars are nice because I don't like all red sneakers so these are a good compromise. Love my Khaleds. What The 5s are cool, I wear them in the Spring.

I like the looked of 5s but i hate the tongue a bit bulky and hard.. not a fan of its reflective looks also

Those Jade Horizons are amazing as is, but I lace swapped them for black laces and got mad compliments.

I thought I was the only one! Jordan 5s are my favorite Js as well. The OG Fire Red/23s were my first pair of Jordans. It was 1990 and I was in the 7th grade. I was sad cause I originally wanted the Black Metallics but they were sold out. At school though everyone was rocking the Black Metallics... Which made me and a few other kids unique. So yea... I absolutely love 5s! I even kinda like the puffy ankles. Lately it seems the 5s are hated on. I have no idea why. It's a very cool sneaker with a very sleek silhouette. Your #5, the Alternate Bel-Air is one of my absolute favorite colorways. That shoe just pops with color. The purple really makes the neon hit in a way that leaves the shoe looking crisp and refined without making it look too busy. No other shoe looked like the 5 back in the day. The shark teeth really took the shoe to another level. I remember drawing that shoe and creating my own colorways. My English teacher busted me drawing them. She noticed that my folder was full of drawings of the 5... All of them a different colorway. She made me take a letter home for my dad to sign that explained I was drawing shoes instead of doing my work. Man, my dad was pissed. He made me give him my drawings. I did and he ripped all of them up and tossed them in the trash. Now I make sure to point out that I have several pairs of the shoe I got in trouble for drawing.

I really wanted the earth that was supposed to drop, but these aren't a bad. That gold tongue is iffy but probably be covered up by pants. Definitely want to get another pair of laces for them. Like you said brown would be good or some speckled brown and tan laces.

The fact you mentioned Kobe’s greatness is dope. During his prime he was no joke and arguably is the toughest shot maker to play in the NBA. Don’t forget he played in a tough era as well where teams was barely scoring 90 points a game. Efficiency wasn’t important back then.

You just need to know how to style them with the laces and the strap the stray shouldn’t be that tight and they shouldn’t be tie like that in my opinion I have this pair and they are really comfy and fire in hand
