Tenay really trying to argue that Styles was being too violent in an I Quit match? Seriously? XD

Sting is without a doubt my absolute favorite wrestler of all time...his promos, his in ring skills amd his ability to continuously evolve his character is truly astonishing. Not to mention how he actively puts younger talent over

We all (meaning serious wrestling fans: A casual viewer would only be aware of one kind of t 'n a) known that TNA eventually became their own worst ememy. But they did a relatively masterful job at making what was old new again for serious fans of a certain age, as well as new viewers with marginal to no knowledge of wrestling history. Integrating real combat sports champions into pro wrestling is practically as old as the business itself, especially when you consider that in the days of Lou Thesz that wrestling was indeed seen as a shoot, and those in it as shoot fighters. Once kayfabe began its snowball effect into being a joke, promoters would still get real fighters involved with their product to give it the "rub" of authenticity. Since TNA was legitimately sports-based, their bookers integrated MMA fighters, MMA inspired matches, and shot vignettes of "big fight" matches in the style of boxing & MMA pre-fight interviews. They almost did it right every time. For my money, TNA was the only "real" competition had since WCW. They introduced a plethora of big name & skillful indy wrestlers to a national audience, made them into the stars of tomorrow, created gimmick matches exclusive to their product, promoted (some) rivalries in a natural, no frills way, used MMA fighters (which I've already mentioned), and had a distinct presentation the six-sided ring was ahead of its time). Until they devolved into WWE lite, they definitely had & maintained their own identity. I hope they land on a decent tv network and finally get the exposure they deserve. #crosstheline
