Just got the 2023 PC Fix patch and it looks and sounds great....but I forgot about all of those bright white flashes on every single pre-rendered cut scene. Can't play it. Too epileptic. I wish there was a way to turn it off or remove it.

There’s a file that needs swapped before you play in order for the cut scenes to run correctly. You can find more info in the game’s steam forums. Other than that, it’s perfect.

Unfortunately no, the game does not run without the fix. It's a fairly easy fix though. It's basically downloading a file and sticking it in a folder. Here is a link if you are interested in trying: steamcommunity.com/app/12140/discussions/0/3469478763653432826/

Looks very smooth and steady fps, what gfx settings are you using, how long does the battery last in DBD and is this the OLED model?

I have quality set to 'Low', 100% resolution, anti-aliasing on, and capped at 60fps. I play with the Steam Deck docked, so I'm not sure how long battery lasts for DBD... but I bet you could get around 2 hours. I'm using the 256gb LCD model.

Game refused to launch for me. Sometimed it shows the eac loading screen but then it just crashes back to gamemode.

I've heard you have to make sure the first time you launch the game after installing, you have to have the hi-res textures dlc checked on. After getting it to start once that way, you can then uninstall the hi-res textures and start the game as you normally would. So try checking the hi-res dlc on, then uninstalling the game. Reinstall and try to start it once with hi-res dlc still enabled. Please let me know if you try this and if it works, I'm curious to find out because I've never had issues getting Halo to start.

Damn :( That is weird that it works on one but not the other. I'm REALLY curious why that is now. I'll do some more digging. Have you tried it in Desktop Mode? And how far do you get before crashing?

@@DeckedOutGamingYT in desktop mode the game launches, however when I press a button instead of logging into my profile its just stuck on the main menu background. It doesnt do anything, really weird. Last time I tested out the game was with the anti-cheat update and it worked back then.

Request access on their Steam page... they have playtests every other weekend and usually grant access to new players at the beginning of those playtests. I believe the next one starts this Friday at 2pm EST.

I've actually never tried using gyro... but it might be a little tough to try considering I need to have it docked to record gameplay. I hear its great for aiming though.

@DeckedOutGamingYT both didn't work. I changed steam input to the keyboard and mouse (emulated) before starting the game and it worked.
