I just watched a technician pinch their fingers several times using the x-ray handle on this unit. As a product designer who has worked in the medical device field, this is a really flagrant oversight, it looks like it was designed for baby fingers.

Not a durable compressor. The cylinders on the pumps do not last, about 5-6 years is all you can expect to get out of a pump. Although this is a variable timeframe, some will last 9-10 years while others last 3-4 years. This observation leads me to believe that quality control is lacking... Also, a very expensive line of compressors... I looked a replacing a head on a AirStar 50 a couple of months ago, the cost of the head was within $100 of an equal, complete compressor from another manufacture, not adding in the labor to replace the AirTech head... This compressor was 8 years old, and the other head had been replaced 4 years earlier. Two days ago, I found a 4-year-old AirStar 22 with a very noisy head on it. This compressor has been serviced twice in it's life. Now to be complete, the AirStar line has a wonderful dryer system on it, as long as the system is serviced every year and here in the deep south, the compressor is in conditioned air space to remove humidity from the incoming air. Do Not Plumb To An Outside Air Source, the dryer will need filters at minimum of twice a year, very likely three times. I have 33 years in dental equipment service and yes, I miss the Pelton and Crane 840 compressors. I installed new, some of the last 840s made. Although they couldn't keep up with most offices' air needs today.

Running both high vac and saliva ejector in multiple ops can cause the compressor to burn out quicker. I like the concept but is difficult for the technician to hold with a mirror and ultrasonic.

Hi Ayka. I think the reason the DA had no masks in the video was because this video was released Pre-COVID. Also, they probably wanted to make the video more advertising friendly and didn't want to have a mask blocking her face, which would not be so "advertising image friendly".

By the way, you'll notice that at 5:30 how the date written on the PSP plate during the BW Exposure is dated 12-01-04, indicating that this video was possibly made in 2004, hence being nearly 16 years Pre-COVID.

At 8:53, there is another indication that the video was made in 2004 due to the window's top blue bar dated as 16 Mar. 2004. This would explain why the Windows software used in the video is Windows XP, which was released in 2001.

It's quite possible that this video was part of the CD Menu for the CD used to install the ScanX software onto the desktop PCs that the dental manufacturer / seller gave to dental offices. It would've been readily available anytime the clinic needed to train employees on using the ScanX Machine or would've assisted in troubleshooting, in case errors or unfamiliarity with scanning arose in trainees. The technician who installed the Machine and who showcased the software features to the clinic would've pointed out the video to the dental manager and staff so that they would have future reference for any possible issues. Older ScanX Machines would've needed CDs for installing software or software updates, whilst newer models may have had automatic software updates via Wi-Fi.

Have you seen this system? ddshgsolutions.com . Gets installed at each chair. If for some reason there is a clog. It only stops that one chair from being used. Not the entire office. Inexpensive and installs in minutes.

Everytime I clean the processor films have black streaks after developing. Eventually these marks stop but only after running many cleaning films. What am I doing wrong?

doppler radar visuallizes movement speeds! hence the doppler effect. This "camera" is far from a doppler radar. It´s basically just a webcam with some blue/uv leds. The tooth surface flurescences in different colors based on the state of decay. A radar is something completly different!

You're right, but only partially. It's true what you say about the flurescence's effects BUT the doppler part is that it seems than they use the time (the relative time) that takes the light to travel from the LEDs get into the sensor has a measure of depth wich is directly proportional to wich cavity is damaged.
