i could’ve misunderstood but if you’re struggling with abletons actual sustain staying on too long, you can go into your midi controllers software and change the cc number of the sustain pedal. sustain is usually 64, and you can remap it to like 20 or something else that’s unmapped, and then use that channel to control the synth plugin. that way the sustain in ableton isnt even being used, and you can map your sustain pedal to whatever you want

Try delay set to 20ms , depending on the sound your processing lower the delay time to taste. Then adjust the cutoff and res to push the metallic sound to taste. Atleast that's what I do.

I wouldn't worry. don't understand myself half the time :) The computer is choosing (at random) which note to play next within a scale. And then we're reducing the amount of randomness, so it's more likely to choose closer notes in the scale than further ones, to mimic a deliberate melody a bit better. But mostly it's just nice bleepy-bloopies, as usual! Thanks for stopping by :) /George

Really appreciate the in-depth look at this new offering and Much more INSIGHT than I anticipated from the title. It never fails to amaze me that when somethibg new and exciting is put out there are often more questions about "what's coming" than the new product itself. Had I been able to participate in the discussion I would have at least asked the dev what cool ways he found to use the product that perhaps the consumer may not imagine at first. Anyway, it was interesting to hear about the complexities involved when adopting/adapting. Thanks again

When you stack effects like this, are they in series or parallel? Thanks!

One thing I'm curious about is how stacking multiple frequency shifters would differ from just having a single one and summing up the offsets.

I'm a bit confused, I don't understand how it's doing convolution? It looks to me like a series of filters in a wavetable format, which is perfect and amazing, so i'm not hating here, I think this plugin looks incredible! But i just dont get why the comparison between it and convolution reverb? it's not adding delays or anything like a reverb does? its just filtering and this is a great way to do complex filter modulation which will be great for dubstep, psytrance etc. can someone explain what im missing here? cos to me it looks like what it says in the name: a wavetable of filters. i dont get the convolution stuff, it doesnt seem to apply here?
@Kilohearts18 күн бұрын
Hey, I can do my best to explain, but maybe the chat more generally wants to weigh in as well with better / different explanations. The way it converts the frequency content of a particular wavetable frame into a filter shape is by treating it as a 2048-sample-long impulse response to convolve the input sound with. A convolution reverb is doing the same; imposing the frequency spectrum of one sound on another, although usually with much longer sounds, so you hear a tail. With Filter Table your wavetable essentially becomes a library of 256 very short impulse responses, which boost or cut different frequencies in your input sound. And you can morph smoothly between them, or raise / lower a cutoff on them. So pretty versatile. But the mechanism for deriving the filter shapes is convolution. Hope that helps! /George

@Kilohearts21 күн бұрын
Ah yes... the modulation system is now at the bottom and modular so you need to create a new "Audio Follower" module down there and hook it up. Hope that helps!

The noise introduced by the 'minimum' setting is very much desirable and the cleanliness of the 'linear' option is fantastic, but having the 'raw' option has really giving me some crazy results. This thing is a god-send, thank you guys for this impeccable work!

This is absolutely amazing, the only 2 things I was ever leaving phase plant for were a morphing filter, and a multiband waveshaper. I come back to you guys after just a handful of months AND YOU ADDED BOTH OF THEM. I'm speechless. Both of these sound absolutely phenomenal. I've got goosebumps on my goosebumps. It's impossible to get a GeigerCounterPro these days so I've been waiting for someone to create a morphing waveshaper too. Unreal! Thank you so much for catering to nerdy bass designers, this ecosystem is the greatest thing to happen to electronic music in a long time, and these last two additions are WOWZA.
