I suppose it's hackneyed, but I first heard this mix of what was a very ordinary album track while on a lot of designer (and other) drugs, through a massive soundsystem. It was shattering when I realized it was Bernard's voice; I'd been a longtime fan and peripheral friend of the band. But? This? This is colossal, a towering work of minimalist genius.

Have always wondered about this intro before the band come on. Is it all backing track? Is the synth orchestra playing some or all of it? Who's playing guitar? If it is a backing track, it sounds different to that on Republic so when did they re-record it? So many nerdy questions I know...

Glastonbury is legendary but it'd be just as legendary without fucking up the experience of thousands of fellow music fans that are trying to enjoy the show. it's the bands that make it legendary. no one can read your shit flag, and no one would care even if they could. have some respect and bring your flag to a football match or something
